It seems that the last battle was a bit too much for Fubuki. Will she improve?
Compared to the last episode, this episode was not nearly as confusing as last time as they finally show some of the inner workings in the fleet. Apparently, ship girls can actually sink and die if they are not repaired. The same thing is true with the actual game. Still, it’s was interesting to see how the girls repair themselves by showing Akagi bathing for a specified amount of time to repair herself. Apparently, the admiral sent a bucket that instantly heals her. It makes me wonder if he is actually saving them for a big battle to increase his chances of winning.
Aside for that, most of the episode was spent on Fubuki training herself. It seems that no matter how hard she tries, she still have some trouble keeping her balance and shooting the targets down. On the other hand, I like her work ethics since she still tries her best despite the difficulties she face. After all that training, it seems to me that she sort of have the hang of it despite being somewhat clumsy. In the end, I think it’s something that only experience can fix.
As a whole, while this episode was not as exciting compared to last time, I think it was necessary so that people who haven’t played the game won’t become too confused. Even so, it was funny to see Yuudachi get punished by the teacher for not doing her homework. Not only that, it seems that Naka’s quest to become an idol has not ended yet since she tried to make Fubuki into one. As expected, it failed. Aside from that, I wonder how the girls will fare in the next mission as our faceless admiral plans his next assault against the enemy.
Bubble wrap, obsessive girlfriend, Sexy Secretary Nagato and Fubuki of the Jungle.
So far, I’m enjoying most of the characters and hopefully we get to see more of them in action… and hopefully Shimakaze won’t get left out next time.
