It seems that Archer finally shows his hate towards Shirou. I know why.
From the last episode, I knew that they weren’t going to get along even if Shirou and Rin formed an alliance. I think this battle with Caster proves it. While Archer showed that he is a competent battler and proved Caster wrong by almost defeating her, he revealed his dislike towards Shirou after saving him from a sneak attack. Yep, besides calling each other stupid, it’s apparent that Shirou does not agree with how Archer wants to do it even if they have similar beliefs. Archer would rather have Caster take more innocent lives rather than finish her off. There is no wonder why he wasn’t hesitant to slash Shirou up in the end.
I’m not sure if Shirou deserves it, but I can admit that his idealism, complaining and trying to be a tough guy by saying, “I can handle it myself” was pretty annoying. Archer just saved his life and he should have been grateful for that. Sadly, he had the guts to complain about everything. If that is the case, I think he deserves to be killed for his stupidity. I would have thought that he would learned his lesson from the first battle by now since he knows that he can’t do everything and that his ability to heal won’t last forever. I’ll guess he will learn the hard way.
Aside cringing from Shirou’s stupidity, I admit that the battle between Archer and Caster was pretty good. I already expected that Caster couldn’t stand a chance against him since her class is the weakest. Even so, it’s somewhat disappointing that we didn’t get to see much of the battle between Saber and Tsubame Gaeshi. Even so, Saber managed to hang on and survive without a scratch. From the looks of the preview, it seems that Shinji is back in the picture and I wonder if he will get the justice he deserves.
