It seems that Illya wants the older sister status so badly!
Since Illya managed to save Kuro last time, I didn’t expect that much development except some light-hearted fun. I admit that the rivalry between the two was very enjoyable, especially the cake baking contest. While I’m not surprised by Kuro’s first attempt at making a cake since she has Archer’s intelligence, at the same time, I never knew that Illya would mess up that badly. Sure, she had to put up with Tatsuko sabotaging the recipe, but at least the thought of making it for Shirou made him happy. Aside from that, it was interesting to see Illya when she was younger with him showing that this story is taking place in a separate reality from the main series.
As for Illya’s attempt to be recognized as an older sister in Kuro’s eyes, this was perhaps the most enjoyable part of this episode. While her idea of an older sister from her friends is completely random and funny at the same time when she tries all of them, I don’t think she needed to go to such extremes. Considering that Kuro needs Illya to resupply mana proves that she is the younger sister. Then again, this shouldn’t be an issue at all since they are basically the same entity, thus making them seem more like twins than sisters.
With Kuro finally settled down and resolved her differences with Illya, things are about to become interesting next time. Yep, Bazett finally shows up and I wonder what she wants from Illya and Miyu. Either way, I can’t wait!
Llya and Kuro were just too cute in this episode. 😛
Yep and it’s probably the most enjoyable in regards to their rivalry as they seem to get along well. 🙂
