Before the fight got out of hand, Irisviel managed to save the day.
When Irisviel told the truth while pressing Kuro for information, I wasn’t surprised at all. Apparently, Kuro was supposed to be the Holy Grail. Somehow, Kiritsugu and Irisviel wanted their daughter to live a normal life. As a result, Illya was born with Kuro’s memories and abilities sealed away. As we know already, Illya weakened that seal and eventually broke it by using too much magic.
From listening to her side of the story, it’s easy to feel sympathetic towards Kuro since she had her existence taken away just like that. It’s understandable since Illya took away her chance to live a normal life. Although Kuro took things to the extremes by wanting to kill Illya because of the things she had to deal with, at least she found a way to resolve it by using the grail powers she has. Still, her speech was emotional and heartwarming at the same time.
Since Illya knows the truth about her former self and managed to save Kuro from a horrible fate, where does she go from here? To me, I think they will focus more on light-hearted stuff unless they manage to fit another arc in the four remaining episodes. Either way, I’m happy that Irisviel finally appeared and from the look of it, her driving skills are just as bad as they were in Fate/zero.
Supermom’s power is out of this world.
Good to see one of the big mysteries solved. One more to go.
Yep, Irisviel is amazing… but I do look forward to rest of the season although I doubt they can do anything drastic with 4 episodes remaining.
