Since finals start this week, I plan on starting 12 Days of Anime one day early this year. As mentioned earlier, I started doing this project back in 2010 with the idea being created by a certain Anime Blogger several years back. With that, I want to share my first four moments in Anime.
12. Tamako Market
While I have mixed feelings towards Kyoto Animation’s in house franchises, I felt that Tamako Market wasn’t as good compared to past shows. Despite its flaws, it was still an enjoyable show mostly because of Choi and the other girls abusing the crap out of Dela, the plump talking bird. Hopefully when they make another season (and they will), I hope Tamako finds a person she loves or Mochizou getting enough courage to confess to her.
11. Boku wa Tomodachi Next
Back in January, I marathoned the whole first season of this show and I enjoyed the cast quite a lot since the male lead wasn’t as weak-minded compared to others. The second season in my opinion was an improvement over the first not for the fact that it looks better, Rika pretty much became the best girl since she is a bit more open (mostly thanks to the main character) while shredding a good amount of her negative aspects from the prequel. Of course, this means that Yozora loses in the end, but who cares about her when he has other girls that equally like him.
10. Kyoukai no Kanata
Although many people have mixed feelings towards this show for the fact that it’s too lighthearted compared to dark, that has changed in the most recent episodes. However, I still think the idol scene in Episode 6 is perhaps the most memorable moment in the series because of how enjoyable it is. Not only that, the series composer for this show also worked on Love Live, which can explain why this scene got added. Although this attempt fails to distract the Fruit Youmu completely so it can be slayed, at least it was a satisfying failure. Speaking about idols…
9. Love Live School Idol Project
I kind of regret not watching this when it aired last winter since I have a soft spot when it comes to idols after watching and playing The Idolmaster (not counting AKB0048). I enjoy all the characters in this show for the fact that they putting a lot of effort into become the best idol group in order to save their school while enjoying the experience. Hopefully the rest of the series will be just as enjoyable when I finish the last 6 episodes once finals end.
Next Time (in the next 4 to 5 days): Free, Ore no Imouto 2, Japanese Video Games and Pokémon X and Y
Note: If you are participating, feel free to link back to this post and in turn, I will link back to your posts.
Oh, man! So much agreement with your opinions! Haganai Next > S1, Rika Best Girl, Kyoukai no Kanata ep. 6 was the best episode, is there anywhere you could possibly go wrong?
I also have to say Love Live is certainly one of the best idol anime to be made. There’s so much love put into it. I’d say overall I liked it better than AKB0048 and am looking forward to season 2!
As for Tamako Market, well, for me that was a real disappointment, but I’d check out S2 anyway since I am a KyoAni fag.
Well, that’s that! I probably won’t be able to read your other 12 Days posts, so I left an extra long comment here 😀
Well, I hope you have fun on vacation as mentioned in one of your posts… But I’m glad that you agree with some of them. But yes, I hope that the 2nd season of Love Live will be good and hopefully I will get the first season done and have a review written before it airs.
But yes, I’m a hopeless Kyoto Animation fan too as I watch everything from them, even if it’s disappointing…
