As Riki successfully recruits Kengo, what is the secret that Kyousuke has been hiding for a while?
Compared to the previous episodes, I felt that this episode was a turning point towards a happy ending. While the last episode already hinted the fact that Kyousuke controlled this world, this one pretty much reveals it outright. To me, I felt that the recap was redundant, but at the same time shows the lengths he went through to make Riki and Rin stronger. Besides Kyousuke creating the dream world and having his alter-ego cat give them notes, how he used time loops looked interesting. He apparently loops a certain task/trial over again (as in a time loop) until Riki can’t stand the heartbreak and does something about it. In a sense, it can make a person stronger. Still, that tactic has a limit for the fact that he can’t keep things the same forever. As shown with him sending away Rin, it reveals a big flaw in Kyousuke’s plan, leaving Riki the only one to change fate.
It seems that the dream world they are in is finally coming to an end. Now, Rin and Riki have to put their strengths to the test in order to face reality. What outcome will come from this? From the looks of it, we don’t know yet. However, we know one thing, Kyousuke struggled to find the gas leak and successfully covered it with his body. Although it was emotional to look at, I think everyone is going to pull through. Still, I wonder how he pulled this off? Maybe he has some magical powers we didn’t know about.
