Anime Blogosphere Pokemon Tournament and 12 Days of Anime

As 2013 comes to an end, I want to share what special things I have planned for December. (Image Source)

Anime Blogosphere Pokémon Tournament

Since Pokémon X and Y now have custom rules, want to have an Anime Blogosphere Pokémon Tournament since a good number of Anime bloggers and fans play Pokémon. While not everything is set in stone, I plan on having a single elimination tournament to see who is the best Pokémon trainer in the blogosphere. Here are the rules if anyone is interested.

Signup is extended until December 23rd due to finals. It will start on December 27th until 30th. The maximum is now 6. We currently have 2 (excluding myself).

Rules:

  • You must have an Anime blog, be on Twitter or be part of an Anime Community.
  • Level 50, Single, 6 vs 6 format, single elimination
  • All Pokémon except ubers are allowed. See this banlist.
  • Evasion Clause (moves that increase evasion is banned)
  • Pokebank Pokémon will be allowed, but no hacked Pokémon.

This tournament will use a round robin format. This means that everyone will have to battle each participant. Once everyone finished battling, the results will be determined by wins and also if there is a tie, the amount of Pokémon knocked out.

When you send the results of a battle, please provide who won, the amount of Pokémon knocked out.

When or if the tournament starts, a table should appear below. I will notify everyone with all the friend codes and contact information you will need.

12 Days of Anime

I will be doing 12 Days of Anime like I did in the previous years, but I will be combining 4 days into three posts since I have to study for finals.

Other Updates

If you noticed by the faster page load time, I have moved to a new VPS from BuyVM. I picked them as Lowendbox recommends them and that they provide quality service although it’s slightly more expensive than the previous host. In addition, the domain is renewed until August 2015.

Also, the Anime Library is going away and I will be moving it to AnimePlanet during winter break.

Lastly, episodic posts will be limited to 1-2 series until the summer. In addition, episodic posts for Nagi no Asukara are dropped, but I will keep watching the show and be sharing thoughts in weekly summaries when the Winter season begins.

With that, I wish everyone a Happy Holidays and I will be putting a Christmas themed header image soon.

    The rules of how the tournament is updated with an extended deadline. If we don’t get at least one more person, I don’t think this is going to work.
