It seems that Mirai and Mitsuki has a girl’s night out together.
While I already expected Mirai to get some kind of punishment for causing a big mess with the shadow hallow in the last episode, I didn’t expect her to get a light punishment. One can argue that suspension for a month is a slap on the wrist and she won’t be able to earn money by hunting down dream shades, at least this episode didn’t disappoint as we get to see her spend some time with Mitsuki as they get treated to a meal with Nino.
Besides Mirai’s noticeable improvement in her hunting skills as she manages to take down a Yomu in one shot, Mitsuki’s situation was interesting. In one of the flashbacks, Izumi said to her that they have to be alone forever because they are sprit hunters. This makes sense as she hardly has any friends, thus never got to participate in any events. Still, it’s pretty interesting how kindly she treats Mirai compared to Izumi. Perhaps she is in a similar situation since she doesn’t live up to the family name due to lack of special talent. In a sense, I think she opened her up a bit to the point that she is willing to attend the festival.
Despite this episode having a subdued feeling, it’s expected since the spirit hunters fraught the Shadow Hallow and subduing Akihito. Still, while Mirai looks cute in the maid outfit, I admit that it’s a bit forced. Even so, at least she is a bit more tolerable in recent episodes. I hope her character continues to improve as she gains a new friend.
Well, if the maid costume was forced…I can’t think of what they used in order to force her into wearing “that” costume next week…:D
While it looks cute in it, it feels out of place considering what she does. But still, It makes me wonder if Ayaka enjoys dressing her in cosplay… I wonder.
