It seems that Rei has a nasty surprise waiting for Neptune.
While the first half of the show looks cheerful since Neptune is happy to see her shares go up, it’s basically the Trojan house that gives Rei the right opportunity to conquer Planeptune. I admit that the plan looks like something an evil mastermind can come up to make all the three goddesses angry at Neptune, thus she has to handle it on it’s own. Even if the situation looks grim, I doubt she will let Rei get her way. Not only that, Anonydeath spilled the beans, so it’s a matter of time until the other goddesses find out what actually happened.
Talking about Rei, she is apparently represents the Atari 2600 in the heydays of gaming and rules the land of Tari. While most of us were pretty young to remember early gaming, it was one of the first popular home consoles that have a share of classic games and some really crappy ones such as the infamous ET and Pac-man games that got buried in a landfill. No wonder she is so arrogant and crazy as Atari thought they were the kings of the hill when the video game crash happened because the market is flooded with bad games. Even up to this day, Atari is the former shell of itself who is still arrogant and thinks that Nintendo is becoming irrelevant, which annoyed me. You might want to know who was the irrelevant company who crashed the video game market in the 1980s? This can explain why Blanc/White Heart is so foul-mouthed as Nintendo has strict guidelines so the video game market wouldn’t be flooded by bad video games. Aside from that, I still think Rei as a goddess still looks insane.
Despite the seriousness from the second half, there were some enjoyable moments. Apparently, Abnes shows up again and she is forgotten Neptune and even Nepgear. Not only that, she is forced to do the dirty work by lugging all the rings in Neptune’s own theme park. Aside from that, the cheerfulness was short-lived.
While things turn from the worse, it seems that the shares thing was a trap. Shares are everything for Blanc, which is no wonder why the reductions of shares impacted her the most. Despite this, it’s only a matter off time until the other goddesses come to their senses and help out. This is the final boss and if Planeptune goes down, the other countries are next! Still, I doubt Rei or whoever she is named now will get her own way.
