It’s finally over for Berserker!
After Illya saved Miyu from an attack, I was glad that they are now on good terms. I can understand why reality part scared Illya a bit, but thankfully she pointed out that Miyu shouldn’t handle everything alone. Still, their final attack was pretty awesome as they summon several pairs of swords using Saber’s power to unleash a powerful blow. With that, they can finally live normal lives for now as all the cards are collected.
On the other hand, the second half of the episode was rather enjoyable. It seems that Miyu and Illlya is more than just friends as seen with Miyu stating that she has exclusivity over Illya over everyone else. But the hilarious part of this relationship is Illya actually kissing her when she dreamt of kissing Shirou. Although she denies it shortly afterwards, we already know how they feel. Since they announced a second season with Rin and Luviagelita sticking around, I’m confident that we get to see their relationship will develop even further.
Final Impressions
While Prisma Illya was short, thankfully the 10 episodes were enjoyable. While it’s not that groundbreaking since this show parodies some of the clichés from other magical girl shows, the characters is basically the main highlight of this show because they were so enjoyable. I thought Miyu was the most interesting character not because she wasn’t from the same world, but how she develops throughout the whole show after warming up to Illya. While most of the characters from Fate/stay night didn’t play a big role and mostly used as butt monkeys as seen with Rin and Luviagelita, I admit that it was nice to see Irisviel again.
Aside from that, Prisma Illya was enjoyable and with the second season in the horizon, hopefully we will see more battles and enjoyable comedy.
Overall Rating: 8.6/10, B, Very Good
Now, let’s wait for the second season! *wonders how long we’ll need to wait*
I look forward to it too and hopefully, it will be interesting as Illya’s clone appears or something.
