After witnessing Illya become unconscious after fighting Saber, she takes a break before another incident occurs.
Believe it or not, this episode felt more light-hearted than dramatic. Despite how many times Illya complained about not being able to do anything, we got to see some interesting things. Apparently, Ruby can become a video conferencing device and communicate with Sapphire. From there, we got to see Miyu in a cute maid’s outfit. What really surprised me is Illya’s reaction. She was so excited that she wanted to have a piece of her. This gets funnier when her friends walked in and saw her doing this half-naked and become surprised. It was hilarious.
On the other hand, the latter part of the show felt rather serious. Apparently, Illya made one silly mistake and accidentally got poisoned, which made her completely helpless. While Assassin almost tried to kill her, she releases her mana, thus defeating them instantly. While I can understand Miyu’s jealousy not because Illya defeated Assassin without any effort, but I think she didn’t want to see her suffer anymore. Then again, the way she took it just wasn’t right. If Illya had a few useful class cards, she could have made good use of them instead of Miyu hogging them all so that she wouldn’t have made that mistake. Then again, even if Miyu wants her to become normal again, I highly doubt it will be possible since the Pandora’s box that locked Illya’s powers is now unleashed. Because of that, I think she should continue to work together despite the challenges they face.
Just wait for the next episode. Mayu didn’t like Illya near the end.
Anyway, agreed, Mayu in a maid outfit is cute and was a great moment.
I suppose friends fight sometime, but they will eventually make up someday, especially since Miyu probably can’t handle it just on her own. But I agree, seeing her in a maid’s outfit was a treat.
I’ll be the first to admit when I’m wrong. You know full well I thought very little about this show in the first three episodes. Then episode 4 happened…then 5…then 6…then 7…8 was okay. So yeah, I was wrong. This show is not mediocre. I guess having Michael Bay explosions and vintage Fate series combat is all you need to make a Fate spin-off awesome. Oh, and Illya X Miyu doesn’t hurt either. Lastly, Luvia continues to warm my heart and Rin is still the perfect foil for her.
However, despite all this praise, Shirou Emiya still sucks and he drains all my joy whenever he’s on screen.
I think the battles are basically the highlight in most magical girl shows which make them enjoyable. Still, Shirou appearing is kind of meh as he doesn’t really have a big part in the story except for comedy relief.
That still doesn’t qualm my dislike for that waste of flesh.
No dood. Fate series fight scenes have a certain appeal to them that make them stand out from fight scenes in other shows, mahou shoujo included.
