As Ledo’s Commander is confirmed alive, Pinon’s hubris gets him into big trouble.
Considering that Pinion blurted out that he got strong weapons, he is now in big trouble. The cult basically took over his prized precessions and attempting to break everyone up. With Ledo reuniting with his commander, I think Pinon got a taste of his own medicine. Still, I’m surprised that Lady Lukkage appeared in the so-called negotiations. Perhaps she joined the cult to plot revenge against Gargantia after her embarrassing defeat.
On the other hand, I feel anxious that Ledo might turn his back against Gargantia. It’s obvious that Kugel wants to spread the ideas of the Alliance and shut everyone down in his way. Still, I wonder if this is his doing because he is inflicted with an incurable virus. Perhaps the AI made the cult to their advantage. Either way, his cult pretty much resembles the Alliance since there is no money, rations along with spewing propaganda and fear. Basically, it’s just as bad as the alliance or even worse. Either way, this sets us up for the finale as the cult and Gargantia fight to protect their values.
I think there is a very high possibility that Ledo will force Chamber to turn their back against Kugel in order to protect Gargantia, perhaps for Amy’s sake. While it will be a tough battle for Gargantia as they don’t have any technologically advanced weapons and Chamber is probably weaker than Striker. Then again, maybe the cult’s ideals will be their downfall as people might realize something is wrong and turn their backs against Kugel and company. Either way, I think it will be an interesting battle to watch in the next episode.
