After the encounter with the Himegami taking over Izumiko’s body, things gets stranger as the festival commences.
After the emotional encounter where Himegami somewhat refused to give Izumiko back, there is something that intrigues me about her. Apparently, Izumiko still believes that Miyuki still prefers Himegami to her and said that their chemistry match. However, the line that stands out is when Himegami said that she doesn’t like Miyuki talking about other women. Izumiko repeats that statement. With that, it makes me wonder if Himegami and Izumiko are the same person. If so, she can never hope to live life as a normal girl and I wonder how she will react to that when the time comes.
On the other hand, it seems that Izumiko is being reminded by the war yet again. However, I never expected that from a haunted house. Inside, Izumiko witnesses the horrible past where women begged for her help. While I knew that the war reenactment would bother her considering the horrors that the Himegami committed, the people who went in were acting strangely too. This makes me wonder if this festival is cursed or has something out of the ordinary that will put people in danger. Especially when middle school girls tried to pressure Izumiko to be the princess, it just makes things even worse.
Despite the dramatic arguing between Yukimasa and Miyuki over protecting the Himegami, it’s obvious that Miyuki cares about Izumiko more than he did in the beginning. Still, rough waters are ahead as Mayura decides to play the princess role in the battle. However, the thing that worries me is Matsumi. Despite the trouble with the dragon spirit, he seems to be helping Izumiko yet again, which is weird. Because of this, it makes me wonder what will happen to Takayanagi if Matsumi decides to use his special powers against him again.
