Yep, Rika has definitely become the best girl in the sequel. Who wouldn’t have known?
After the big ordeal over Kodaka’s reaction towards Sena’s abrupt confession, I still find it odd that he does stuff for the Student Council just to avoid the big question. One thing that shocked me is Hinata. She was actually a nice person, which Yozora hates. It’s funny that she doesn’t care about her reputation like others would, but still a pretty cool person. Yusa wasn’t bad either, she was just jealous of Sena, which is why she wanted to break up the club.
As for the main part of this episode, the thing that fixes Kodaka’s problems is Rika going crazy controlling metal balls and aiming them at him. While I don’t know if she was having fun abusing the crap out of him, but she made a point to have him explain himself. He explained about being outcasts and the club is the only place they can be together. After all this, she only wanted to be best friends and she got that. So basically, Yozora is screwed because of this as she loses the romantic and only best friends positions to Sena and Rika (then again, Yukimura can also be considered a his friend too). I don’t know what kind of impact a journey will do. Plan her revenge? I think it will fail like everything else.
Overall, it’s a nice finale. It was funny to hear Kadoka admit that he wants to become a harem lead so he can make all the girls happy. At least he wants a harem compared to other male leads that are completely oblivious of the other girls. Then again, a harem of girls would mean that he could become friends with all them and make them happy.
Final Thoughts
Compared to the prequel, the sequel definitely made a number of improvements. First, the characters look even cuter than before. Also, the comedy was a lot funnier this time around and there was several instances of this. Lastly, there was fewer naked scenes compared to the first season but there was still fanservice.
As for the characters, it’s kind of surprising how Rika improved a lot since I found her somewhat annoying in the first season. Now, I enjoy her personality a lot more and she looks a lot cuter without wearing glasses while sporting her changing hairstyles. Compared to her, Yozora is the biggest loser this season for obvious reasons. There is nothing nice I can say about her since she is pretty selfish and wants to keep Kodaka to herself. But aside from that, I enjoyed every minute of this and wouldn’t mind another season of some sort in the future.
Overall Rating: 9.0/10, A-, Very Good
