Rika finally spills out the truth about Kodaka…
I don’t know, but a lot of people were up in arms on Kodaka’s response to Rika when he met her on the roof. I felt mixed about this as he wasn’t dense, but happens to have some kind of issue. It’s obvious that he has friends, but just afraid to have others show affection to him. I got a feeling that he might be scared that he might get left alone abruptly like he was during his childhood. On the other hand, I don’t think he realized that all the girls are his friends. He is probably trying to hold his romantic feelings back possibly to keep the club’s mission statement relevant, although I’m not buying at all.
On the other hand, I find Rika a lot less annoying in the second season and warming up to her. What surprise me are three things. First, she apparently knows how to use Adobe After Effects to make Sena’s mediocre movie look amazing. Second, she is apparently making a game and using the people in the club as a reference. Third and lastly, she is probably the only one that has clear-cut romantic affection towards Kodaka. This is probably the reason why people were up in arms when he lashed out at her when she tells the truth. Still, I wouldn’t be surprised if he is holding back his feelings towards Sena at this point.
While the scene at the end takes a dramatic turn, it still had a lot of comedic moments. While Sena movie look crazy at best, Yozora’s witch outfit looks kind of naughty. I don’t know where Sena get these costume ideas, but it’s still amusing. Still, I think the outfit fits her personality quite perfectly given that she always bullies Sena. Aside from that, it seems that the movie from the opening theme is now taking shape and I wonder how it will turn out once they complete it.
I wonder what will Kodaka do now, because he simply can’t keep running away forever from that…
He will eventually resolve it somehow, but I wonder what is the problem he is facing to make him act like this… I hope it’s not a lame reason, or I will be disappointed.
