Uh oh, Dera is in big trouble now!
I predicted this would happen considering that the prince had a hard time communicating with Dera. Apparently, her name is Choi (with the same last name Dera has) and she has an amazing personality. She simply gone tsundere on Dera for being so fat and looked adorable abusing the crap out of him. Then again, it’s funny that he admits that everyone was using him for slave labor because that is actually true. For instance, the shop owners made him become a golden chicken along with Mochizou forcing him to send that lame love letter. Then again, he became fat on purpose, so he deserves most of the abuse.
On the other hand, I find Choi’s fortune telling quite fascinating. She apparently makes completely accurate predictions, such as Sayuri’s decision to marry someone. I guess she will do some good for the marketplace while abusing the crap out of Dera to make the fortune telling work. I guess this mistreatment will never end at this rate.
From the look of things, it appears that Choi will stay for a while until she fixes Dera. Of course, this means never as she will enjoy herself at the market place indefinitely while the bird keeps eating all that mochi. This reminds me, he did tell an outright lie about the slave labor and admits that it’s all his doing. I suppose he couldn’t keep that lie alive forever.
Aside from that, it seems that Choi sees Tamako as a possible candidate although I think she is in love with the prince. If that happens, Mochizou would be a big loser as he has a crush on Tamako. Then again, I don’t think she realizes any of this. As I said previously, she is simply oblivious to love because of her obsession with the marketplace. Then again, it could be that she has a crush on Midori. Whatever her decision might be at the end, I will be rooting for her.
Look at it the other way. What if Tamako is the one, and when the word is passed to the Prince, he shows up and starts going to school there to get to know Tamako. You have two guys interested in Tamako, and Chio would be a rival to Tamako for the Prince. Prince shows up last episode, and….2nd seaons, anyone?
Considering that this is an original story, everything is fair game. Even so, I think the prince will show up in some point when he finds out that Choi never came back.
I still wondering why Tamako saw Dera in a different perspective and the beginning and last part where Choi recognize the smell and recognize smell again when Tamako past by.
I think we will find out next time, but it’s an interesting thing to think about.
