I can never get enough of Maria and Kobato…
Like the back and forth fighting between Sena and Yozora, I also find the younger counterpart with Maria and Kobato just as entertaining. The only difference is age, which just makes them look adorable. Even so, I find Maria rather hilarious as she breaks her prayer just to beat her nemesis in eating all that fried chicken. What also shocked me is that they also ate all the vegetables as well since most children don’t like eating them. Perhaps, this is an indication that a rivalry can motivate them to eat it, although I highly doubt it would work in real life.
While I expected to see Maria do horribly against Kobato in a fighting game, there is one thing that is quite surprising. Apparently Maria’s assets are bigger than Kobato, which shocked me since she is only 10 years old! Even so, it makes me wonder if Kobato will ever grow when she becomes an adult since she is child-like for a 15 year old. Even so, she shows this jealousy when she gets forced to wear a skimpy outfit, until Kodaka showed his chest.
On the other hand, the King’s Game is surprisingly entertaining. Believe it or not, I feared that they would throw more fanservice since I had bad experiences when Nogizaka Haruka decided to play this in order to please its fans with more clichéd panty shots and stuff. Thankfully, it’s a bit tamer in comparison as it consisted of mostly pranks, embarrassing orders and lines to recite. Unsurprisingly, Yozora had one directed at Sena, which is quite hilarious. The kissing thing is a given, at least it got resolved by doing an indirect one opposed to doing it for real. If Kodaka and Sena actually did it, which knows what would have happened.
In the end, the sleepover and the King’s Game were very entertaining. I find it interesting that Yukimura and Yozora doesn’t respond well to soda. While I don’t mind it, it’s just not good for the health in general. That’s why I rather drink juice, tea or even plan old water, which is a healthier alternative.
Wait, wasn’t Kobato 13 years old (14 from the sixth novel)? ( http://haganai.wikia.com/wiki/Kobato_Hasegawa )
Agreed anyway that is depressing for her future, but it’s hard to compete with Maria that has Kate as an example of future developments. 😀
I have no idea since I haven’t watched the light novel. Even so, its pretty interesting to see that Kate has some kind of influence on Maria, especially on her assets and some aspects of her personality.
