After being introduced to Mio two episodes ago, her story finally starts with a bang.
Before we get to the serious stuff, there are some lighthearted moments in the first half. Besides Kyousuke struggling to see whether or not he should donate a 10,000-yen bill (about 118 dollars), there were some comedic moments involving cell phones. Nowadays, mostly everyone owns a smartphone, which are somewhat easier to operate compared to the typical flip phone (unless you use the more advanced features). As you know in Japan, their feature phones are insanely advanced, which is no wonder why they can become difficult to operate.
As for Mio, I can understand why she doesn’t know how to use a cell phone since she is alone most of the time. Now that she has some friends, they finally teach her how to use it, which is awfully kind of them. While that was happening, Misato wants her number too and it happens to get blown away by the wind. The same thing happens with the email address as that gets blown away as well and I couldn’t stop laughing. Also, I find it funny that the only people on his call history are Riki and Kyousuke. Maybe he should stop acting like an idiot and maybe he might get some girls calling him. Then again, I doubt it. However, he managed to get some girls call him, until he wants Riki to fill the history up with his name.
On the other hand, we witness some uneasiness from Mio. While the team works on some kind of short poem, she walks out and goes to her usual spot. When Riki arrives, it appeared that she wants to be alone again. It shows when she reveals the sad fact that one cannot read every book along with wanting to ride on a paper airplane to a sea for eternity. It’s kind of sad if you think about it, but I still wonder how she became like this. Maybe it has to deal with someone who looks exactly like her, but have a peculiar smile. Who knows, but we’ll find out next time.
As for the visual novel, I have finally finished May 14th. So far, I saw the same stuff from the adaptations of Rin getting beaten up by Sasami (although Rin manages to defeat the girls that cheer for her) and Riki lending a book to Haruka (although you can choose not to). Now I’m going up to the roof and guess who shows up next? Yep, it’s probably Komari.
Mio?! Stop being a yaoi fangirl please! 😀
Jokes aside, nice adaptation so far, hopefully it’ll continue this way. I’m really enjoying this series…
I don’t think she will stop given that Riki’s physical appearance is very effeminate. But side from that, it seems that they haven’t changed much story wise although it’s quite obvious that they can’t put every single detail in. Still, the pacing is a bit off compared to other adaptations.
Still, I can’t believe they added the 10,000 yen bill thing. That was hilarious.
the girl who looks like mio is looks diffrent becouse she dont have pastrol and few outher things meybe she twin or somthing
We find out sooner in the next episode… but if I have played the visual novel (or rather finished Mio’s arc already), I would have knew already. 🙂
