Kud may look adorable, but she hardly got any screen time!
Needless to say, Kudrayvka is definitely the most adorable girl just from her looks and trying to carry all those boxes. However, I was kind of disappointed that they gave her hardly any screen time after introducing her. Still, it’s nice to see her try to speak some English even though it’s not completely necessary.
Aside from that, this episode starts with Komari’s arc, which is rather odd. I would have thought that they would introduce all the characters before focusing on the plot. Regardless, the episode felt subdued with Komari luring Rin and then looking at a picture book with eggs, chicks and chickens. I don’t get why she would feel sad for the chicken that forgot their initial existence as eggs. Probably for the fact they lose their memories or her claims of having a brother that doesn’t exist in real life. However, the author’s name that she claims to be her brother comes up again at the end of the episode.
As for their visit at a senior citizen’s home, while it had some comedic moments from the crew, the most important part is Riki cleaning out someone’s room. Apparently, the room he cleaned out is also the author of the book Komari shown. With his epic screaming, there is no wonder why he doesn’t want to see her. Whatever the reason, she must have done something bad to him.
On the bright side, I liked what Kurugaya said. Also, Haruka’s writing Misato’s name with a star in the middle was hilarious. He shouldn’t have slept during class if he didn’t want that to happen.
Announcement: As you have known already, there is a hurricane that starts making a landfall tomorrow evening to the end of Tuesday evening. In an event that there is no power, I might not be able to make updates until it gets restored. In spite of this, I will still be online and make any updates about it. They can be seen here.
For other bloggers who live in the Northeast, please stay safe.
I suppose that it’s not the picture book by itself as story, but the people reading it to give it “sadness power”. 😛
Possibly, but its kind of depressing to see Komari that sad.
becouse it been showen very fast for one minute at the end of the episode you might didnt see it but the name of the old man is not the name on the book
Probably forgotten about it since I have been focusing on hurricane coverage all day long, but thanks for pointing that out.
