Oh my, what happened to them? They become younger!
This show seems to surprise me with every passing episode with the lighthearted excitement. Aside for the amazing appearance of Adélaïde and her love/hate relationship with Valério, what we got is more demon hunting. Oh, it’s not any demon hunting! They are doing it to cute small rats that accidentally got released by Adélaïde when she touched the sword that sealed it. It’s silly see a sword break like ice because most of them are made of tough metal. Then again, it probably got brittle because of age.
On the other hand, what shocked me are the mouse’s powers. Apparently, the rats suck out the life source of anyone and they become their younger versions of themselves. Although the girls are less powerful, I admit that they look adorable. I’m not sure who is the cutest out of the bunch since Hina, Yukikaze and Éclair pretty much ties in the rankings. Thankfully Cou didn’t get hit since she is relatively young. If she did, she would probably become a toddler or something.
While the defeating and catching of all those rats seemed exciting, the last part of the demon slaying with Shinku and Gaul facing it off was the most surprising. After surviving the attack from the demonic rat’s attack, the crystal that allows them to transform into their older and handsome versions when activated. Besides being more powerful, it seems that the girls have a liking for their new forms as seen with Gaul’s bodyguards complimenting on his new appearance. Of course, we can’t forget the feeling Becky had while Shinku rides on her broomstick.
From the past few episodes, it seems like the producers have a lot of tricks to create something really entertaining. Besides the added fanservice with the girls lost their clothes when they reverted back, I liked how the age changes turned out. They look really good, especially the more mature version of Shinku. Too bad Ricotta and Millhi never got to witness it first hand. Even so, don’t rule it out just yet as he might use the crystal again in the near future to become the “ultimate” hero, thus surpassing Becky and Nanami.
