Since Heartseed gave up on body swapping, is he done with the Culture Club yet? Not exactly since he starts executing another round of tricks to mess around with the human mind.
After that almost tragic incident involving Iori, there is a reasonable expectation that he will do something different because the body swapping bored him to death. Considering that he is the biggest troll after Kyubey, he needs to do something else. Like any nasty scientist, he subjects the same people to some kind of mind manipulation that causes the human psyche to activate our hidden desires from their true selves. From the looks of Inaba trying to make a move on Taichi, it was very effective. Sure, it’s kind of apparent that she has some feelings for him, but too embarrassed to admit it at the same time. Sadly, it seems like Yui is suffering more this time around with Heartseed’s new antics compared to Iori, who actually benefits from it.
The truth is, humans are emotional creatures. If we see something bad such as a friend bullying someone, we might act upon it without thinking. When I saw what happened to Yui when she subconsciously beats up some boys that tried to do bad things towards a group of girls, it really got me thinking. Although it’s right to stop the boys from being mean towards the girls rather than be a bystander, the approach she took is wrong. Violence is not always the answer even if it’s justified because there are always other ways to resolve it without resorting to that kind of action. Still, I don’t place all the blame on her since she probably couldn’t control her emotions from her androphobia. It’s troubling since it looked like she made progress just to have her recovery go in reverse because of Heartseed’s new experiment. Shame on him for not thinking about that!
From the look of things, I think we are in for a lot of drama as Heartseed messes around each club member’s feelings in his new experiment. Still, this mess might give us some more insight on Iori’s true self that she had trouble finding for a long time. Once she finds out somehow, how will Taichi react to it? A lot of questions remain as Heartseed begins another round of mind-manipulating shenanigans for his own surreal soap opera.
Yeah, I forgot to talk about Taichi’s imouto, but she’s really awesome too. It’s rare to see these perceptive/goodwilled sisters. She somehow remind me of Mikan from To Love Ru. 😀
I haven’t watched To Love Ru since I don’t watch shows with a lot of ecchi (more than what Dog Days show), but it’s definitely a rare sight though.
