If you forget one of your childhood memories, why not just summon your younger self?
The wishing rock keeps on giving through its ridiculous situations it put on the girls. If seeing Saki completely invisible and naked is not enough, the younger form of the girls spontaneously appears this time. When I saw Natsumi as a child, it kind of reminded me of Episode 24 of The Idolmaster anime, although the girls don’t kidnap them. Even so, it’s still weird and amusing how they come into contact with each other while being rather confusing since apparently, young Saki saw the boxes in her house. Does this mean that they traveled into the future? Maybe.
On the other hand, the girls’ ghost busting in the abandoned building was hilarious. Young Saki was basically beating up her older self while the other girls fire their weapons at the others. From the looks of it, they look like troublemakers back then. Despite this, the reason why appeared has to do with their dream of becoming an idol. Not so surprising since the writers have been pushing it along, but not at the forefront.
While the girls meet their younger selves felt heartwarming as they finally recall their dreams of becoming an idol, some things in the background interested me. Besides the obvious sponsorship from Lawson, they apparently had McDonalds and Toyota Rent a Car in the background. It makes me wonder if they are also sponsoring the show because most shows would change them to a silly name to avoid a lawsuit. Apparently, the girls will audition in the next episode for “Sunny Music,” which is apparently a bland name of Sony Music. Aside from the trickery from that rock, it makes me wonder what product placements they will pull from their sleeves next.
