It seems like the whole spring season is going by so quickly. Since we are at the halfway point, I may as well share my impressions of all the Spring Anime I’m watching so far. (Image Source)
Fate/zero – Part II
As expected, the second half has shown us many amazing moments. It’s all thanks to the first, which built up the story to the climax. Even so, some of the scenes were just brutal as a lot of characters and masters got killed in this half. Kritisugu contributed to most of it with his shameless killing of Sola and El-Melloi. Still, the most intriguing part about him is the flashback of his childhood where he became the “Magus Killer” as his life gets turned upside down. Come to think of it, it’s sad to see him losing all the women he loves. No wonder why he feels like the way he does now.
But yes, the final part of the Grail War will in no doubt become exciting.
Natsuiro Kiseki
Originally, this show started off rather bland from the first episode. However, the second changed everything. The so-called “Troll Rock” where the girls make nasty wishes to each other brought all the excitement. Still, I wonder how they manage to stay together despite this. Perhaps there is a special quality that each girl brings, which bonds the friendship together. Even so, it’s still fun.
Hyouka
I admit that this show has the most gorgeous looking animation ever seen in any Anime series. Although the mysteries are rather shallow so far, the way they solved it is rather interesting. Not only that, Episode 4 brought something interesting as they incorporated history during the time period to spruce it up. Even so, it seems that the male characters are taking a bigger role than the females as they contribute to the answer, especially Houtarou. He might complain about having to use energy to solve it, but the way he presents it is interesting. Also, Eru looks cute, especially in a ponytail.
Shining Hearts ~Happiness of Bread~
Although I really like Tony’s character designs since they look adorable, the amount of bread in this show is ridiculous. Although it’s not as apparent in the later episodes, there is still some obsession over it. Also, I’m disappointed by the lack of development with Kaguya since she is still recovering for nearly four episodes. Isn’t that a bit excessive considering that this show only has 6 episodes left?
Mouretsu Pirates
I don’t know, but this show has become less about pirating and more about stuff. While the last arc gave me mixed feelings with the cosplay, it’s fun to see high school girls do some pirating with Marika. Also, Jenny and Lynn making out just amazed me.
AKB0048
Dropped for reasons explained in this post. This show is extremely stupid and it’s only there to blatantly promote the AKB48 so they can get more people to buy more of their CDs that don’t even sound that good (no offense intended to those who enjoy it)!
