Well, this marks the first episode of my new podcast, which will focus on various topics regarding to Anime and the fandom. For now, it will work on an infrequent basis since it takes time to edit and record (future episodes will be audio only). If anyone is interested in joining for one of the episodes, I’ll be happy to do so. Just contact me.
In this episode, I will talk about my results from the Anime Blog Tourney while I record myself through the camera. Of course, the results surprised many, including myself, but not a big deal.
Since most people mistaken me as a male tsundere, I decided to introduce myself a bit more. I explain my background and such. So, I hope you enjoy and feel free to talk about it! Also, I wish good luck to the other participants in the tourney. I should have the other critiques for the Green Bracket by the end of this week.
Excuse my coarse voice… I just came home. (Image Source)
Extra notes: Final results are Me (128 votes) 41.69% Draggle (179 votes) 58.31%. From the results last taken for the recording, I gained 31 votes and Draggle, 17 votes. (Proof taken at 4:00 PM EDT)
Your room bro. What happened?
And interesting podcast. I had the same idea to do something l- forget it, I’m too lazy. Take all the originality.
Constructive criticism: If you’re going to put in more personality into your posts, do so in the podcasts as well. First time, I know, but feels like reading off the slides/monotonic/just woke up feel. Add some more emotion even if you’re super tired (fake it to make it bro).
Not one to talk though, not even in the tourney.
It’s embarrassing yes… but it’s not actually my room. My house in general is really messy since we don’t have time to clean up.
I don’t know, but I usually don’t come off like that because I’m always lively when I’m wide awake. It’s just that I haven’t gotten much sleep Monday/Tuesday night for some reason, which could explain why I’m like that. But I hope it’s not like that in the future episodes. And, I should probably do them midday rather than at night.
Also, Premiere Pro as always is a big pain in the butt with all the performance issues and such… and I still need to use it to edit my Idolmaster 2 Let’s Play!
WHAT?!!!! CHIKORITA157 IS A HUMAN?!!!!! I never would have guessed!!!
This is also probably the first time my blog has been in a powerpoint presentation. Serious business.
It was a fun matchup, I wouldn’t read too much into the results. I think you’re doing a good job with your blog as it is now (although there’s always room for improvement, for everybody).
Also, my picture of myself is on the about page as well and my voice could be heard in the Let’s Play. But yeah, I have proof that I’m not a nobody or a hikikomori that sits on the computer with a fake identity writing blog posts all day.
Like I said before, it was a pleasure to compete with you and I wish you luck in the second round. Also, I added you to the blogroll, so feel free to add me back.
Of course, added you.
Draggle won by a wide margin because he wrote a really funny post that got undecided voters to give him the edge. Trust me, your writing has definitely improved over the past few years. One of the things I respect about your blogging is that you use it as a tool to improve yourself. Making more of these videos should help your speaking as well. The length and content were fine, but as Seinime said, your speaking was monotone and your looked like you were reading. Of course, putting together a good video isn’t supposed to be easy. If I were doing your video it would take me at least a few hours to prepare until I knew I could satisfied with the final product.
I won’t be doing video podcasts on a frequent basis, but this came out on the whim… In future episodes, I will most likely prepare a few days before recording the stuff. Things like outlining what stuff to discuss about and other things. With that, I probably won’t do one until June where I share my brief thoughts about the shows that finish airing and some other stuff. But yeah, this is my first real podcast I recorded, although I have done some in the past, which isn’t related to this blog and merely recorded commentaries.
Woooo podcast or more of a video cast? Fufufufu
E-DRAMA!? Sadly there will always be drama on da interwebs foreeeverrrr and ever~ but hey I really hope more blogs get readers and new comments of course 😀
Nice podcast I can’t wait to see what you do with it are you going for a guest set up deal or just solo for a few episodes? Solo might work a bit more until you get used to the format; similar things happened with Metanorn’s first few recordings for our podcast.
Yeah, solo is hard to do since you can only discuss so much on your own. Hopefully, I get some willing people down the line to join so we can have some discussion over a certain topic or something. Since people are busy with college and school until the summer, it might become a possibility in June where everyone goes on summer break.
Sounds great! Keep up the work and trying new things is always interesting ;D
