As Marika heads back home from a day’s worth of pirating, something unexpected happened in the meantime.
Ah Murphy’s Law… how we like you for causing unexpected troubles like this. Unfortunately for Marika, she gets left without a crew because the lab experiment escaped from their shipment container, thus infecting everyone on the ship with a disease. That must really sucks considering that her license could get revoked from the inability to pirate for a month. Not only that, who thought it was a good idea to transport exotic lab animals when there is a high chance of danger? Either way, she must search for some temporary ones.
When she actually seeks them out along with Grubier in disguise, it doesn’t work out well. If she wore her pirate outfit instead, it would have given a better impression. Either way, I already predicted failure since she is a new captain, thus everyone will turn her down. Although it was a flop, it’s nice to finally see Chiaki’s father, Kenjo who is captain of the Barbarossa. Not so surprisingly, he is really muscular, which is a drastic difference to his daughter.
After she goes back home empty handed, they go back to square one. With that, Marika recruit the Space Yacht Club, which is something that she should have done in the first place. Why go into the trouble of searching for people when she already knows some? Sure, she trusts them since they are her classmates after all. She probably didn’t want to because they lack experience compared to her normal crew. Even so, they will eventually gain it as time goes on and become better. Aside from that, I seriously hope they don’t mess up the ship so the girls can have some fun without worrying the crew members.
