My body wasn’t ready for this melodrama at the end of the episode…
Before getting to the serious parts, the first half of the episode was certainly cute. It seems that Yuuta has warmed up to them quite a lot despite Sora acting cold towards him. Of course, the part that caught my attention is Hina playing with him using a Wii like controller. He eventually beats her in a video game and she ends up crying. Everyone should know that beating a toddler at a game is a bad idea since they haven’t developed the skills to win. Thankfully, Sora jumped in and scored a win against him to cheer Hina up.
Another thing that made me laugh is of course Miu playing around with Yuuta while he takes a nap. The constant reminder of “you can’t sleep here” from one of his childhood memories made him aware of that. Sadly, it was too late since she put a wig on him and drew on his face. The reaction from their father was just hilarious after he walked into the room. When that happens, I couldn’t stop laughing because he looked so silly and unrecognizable.
Once their parents departed for their business trip, the girls made him do stuff. One of those things included him doing Miu’s homework. I know that some children made their siblings or parents do their homework in some part of their lives. However, when you get into high school, middle school or even college, they won’t allow that. This is because they usually have strict Academic Honesty codes, more so with the latter. Not only that, you won’t learn anything if you have someone else do it, so it’s better off doing it yourself.
Sadly, good things come to a tragic halt. Somehow, the plane their parents were on got into an accident and they presumed missing. I’m surprised that they never told what specifically happened to the plane. At the same time, it gave me a similar feeling of what happened to Kotomi in Clannad. Still, the accident is far from their worries as their relatives started fighting over who should take which girl. I feel that the relatives don’t care about the bond they have with each other as they have their own interests. Thankfully, Yuuta intervened and decides to look after them himself. Not so surprising since he has experienced the same when their parents passed away and didn’t want to get separated from his older sister.
With the custody battle resolved in an instant, things only look up for the girls as they move into Yuuta’s Apartment. I wonder how his friends and Raika will react to this.
