Since the second season of Amagami SS started airing last week, I may as well celebrate it by covering two of the specials from the first season. In this particular special, it’s big as it reveals why Junichi was so down during Christmas Eve after being heartbroken by a girl two years ago… Apparently, the can of worms gets opened several months after Risa confesses to him in secret.
Needless to say, everyone has been wondering why Junichi doesn’t enjoy Christmas Eve after all those episodes. Apparently, Risa, a very timid girl who has a huge crush on our male lead for a very long time happened to done just that. Although she is a very cute girl, compared to the others, she is not as well endowed. This kind of makes her envious when Junichi tries to go out with another girl. I don’t blame her for that since other girls faces this problem of bust inferiority. Even so, it’s so hilarious how she told a big lie to all the girls that Junichi went into contact with and saying that he already has a girlfriend. Even so, I kind of felt bad for him since all the girls were distancing themselves through this big misunderstanding.
In the end, the truth eventually gets revealed. Apparently, Risa was the one who sabotaged Makihara and told her a different location in the name of protecting his feelings. When I saw that, that must have suck really badly to have a girl/boy who has a crush on you sabotage a nice Christmas date with your girlfriend or boyfriend. Now, he has to suffer the burden of his date being ruined. Thankfully, he had gotten over it recently. Still, her guilt gotten to her to the point where she doesn’t deserve going out with him. Therefore, it leaves him another year of loneliness, which makes it even worse. Gratefully, he understands and ensures Risa that he still likes her despite what she did in the past.
In the end, I’m rather glad that everything between them worked out in the end. Although Risa being over protective is rather cute, he already knows how manage his own love life well enough to avoid falling for prank dates.
Next Time’s Special: Imouto Arc… nishishishi.
