Did you notice the lack of Inami punching in the past few episodes? This episode shows why…
It’s noticeable that Inami’s androphobia is getting a tad bit better. Although Souta petting Inami’s head kind of got her too excited, she finally gets his phone number and started texting. The funny thing is that she breaks her phone out of excitement through the heat of affection. If that was a smartphone, one can imagine how much it will cost to replace it. Still, I like how Izumi gets anxious about him receiving a text from his girlfriend since she looked so tense. Eventually, she calmed herself down since Inami only sent him a picture of a kitten and a message shortly after.
On the other hand, Inami almost breaks her record of not punching any men because Aoi suggested a rather stupid idea to make her react. It’s true that she has been avoiding men lately, but at least Souta is not getting punched. Aoi apparently pushes Souma into harms way and almost receives a strong blow. Thankfully, Satou threw Daisy and she punches that instead, which saves her record from being broken. While Daisy gets damaged in the process, Aoi kind of deserved it since she should have knew the consequences of her actions.
As the second season of Working winds down, this particular episode had many funny moments, especially with Aoi getting locked out of the restaurant and Popura finally reaching the broken items report. Although it’s sad that Inami’s androphobia won’t go away completely, she has made a lot of progress in the course of twelve episodes that it’s not nearly as bad. Not only that, she has become considerably cuter as well while Aoi still entertains everyone with her antics. This pretty much leaves me with one thing left, what ever happened to Maya? Throughout the whole season, she just appears in the background doing some work. Like in the first season, I suppose she will get a few lines to keep the tradition of wanting to stay ordinary, although she has some noticeable quirks herself.
