Be warned, this episode has some criminally cute moments…
Given how much Kyoko manages to eat in a day, her stomach is a bottomless pit. What fascinates me about it is how she manages to devour all those parfaits that Yachiyo and never gain any weight. If Souta wanted to get along with her, he can just simply bribe her with food. Sadly, his general dislike towards older woman prevents him from doing this. I guess he will never get along with her if his life depended on it.
Aside from that, I liked how Yamada still wants someone to spoil her. She finally manages to get this treatment briefly when she practice how to make parfaits while Kyoko eats them all. Although she enjoys her treatment, it instantly wipes out the supply of ice cream, whip cream and fruits. This makes me wonder how the restaurant manages to make any profit if Kyoko continues to attack the supply of food. I suppose that Kyoko buys an extra supply using her own money or eat the food that is about to expire. Through some lie that Souma comes up, it effectively prevents her from eating the restaurant food at a cost.
Lastly, Souta surprisingly picks up a cute little girl who got separated from her mother. Although I’m no lolicon, the girl looked so adorable and endearing that you want to take her home. He also goes on about wanting to raise her as his own child, which looks kind of disturbing. Nevertheless, Kyoko looks after the child. When the girl offers Kyoko a bite of her cake, it was nice to see that she doesn’t take it and feeds her instead. After the child reunites with her mother, she finally cheers up with the sight of food that Jun made.
After experiencing Kyoko’s extreme hunger, I felt bad for her since it looked painful. Not only that, it’s nice to see her get along with the child for a short period of time while Yamada gave tantrums about the lack of attention she received. Hopefully, Kyoko will finally restrain herself from eating all the food… or maybe not.
Working’!! keeps the comedy gold, and now I know how Sota feels (had a moe cutie overload of my own)…I regret nothing!
But it’s nice to see a little character development, even if it’s not really anything that’ll carry over into future episodes.
