Sorry about that long delay… Since the subs got delayed for the past two weeks due to some extraordinary circumstances, I had to put this show off and watch some of my backlog. Gratefully, episodes 8 and 9 were finally released today, so I’m confident that I will get caught up by Monday.
As for this episode, Azusa getting lost and a group of bodyguards chasing after her was a fun experience. All of this happened with her wearing a nice-looking wedding dress.
Azusa has always been one of my favorite girls besides Chihaya out of 765 Productions since she is pretty and has a nice personality. In episode 6, she changed her hair into a short bob to signal a new phase of her career. This change has caused some people in the anime blogosphere to criticize her new hairstyle. Even though I liked her long hair, she still looked considerably cute with her new appearance. Through the photo-shoot for a wedding magazine, her beauty shines. It’s obvious that she wants to get married someday from her liking of wearing a dress and desires to find someone special. Her tendency to lose direction with the bodyguards “kidnapping” her caused Makoto and the Producer to go on a wild goose chase.
Throughout her separation from the group, she displayed her kindness and brought a lot of cheer to the people. Besides finding the girl who dropped her wedding ring, she helps a grandmother, two children and a fortuneteller to name a few. In addition, she brought a runaway bride and the so-called “Oil Baron” together to propose. Her courtesy and mature personality is one of her strong points that make her a pleasing woman. Sure you can get the prettiest girl out there, but she might be manipulative or spoiled. In a way, the haircut has allowed her to show what she really is and everyone admires her for this.
Although Azusa has ruined her chances of getting hitched, it was a worthwhile sacrifice for her to take. Through her wondering, her and Ryuuguu Komachi’s popularity has grown tremendously. Hopefully, she will meet a nice guy to become her husband someday. On the other hand, Makoto brought amazing fights when she chases down the bodyguards that generated a lot of attention. Also, Miki was cute too, but didn’t contribute much besides taking several poses for the magazine. So pretty much Azusa’s exploration of the whole city had brought a myriad of fun that I enjoyed.
Azusa with long hair, wedding gown, and veil would’ve been nice, but there’s beauty in her short hair look as well.
She was amazing in Episode 9 too. Her personality simply shines compared to the other characters. Still, I wish we could see a bit more of Chihaya… haven’t seen much of her lately.
Actually a very nice epsiode. Getting two idols (Azusa and Makoto) for the price of one. Just realized though my sense of direction is just as terrible as Azusa’s, lol.
Can not wait to jump into the games, since I found a place to get them cheap. Although, I suppose I try playing one of the PSP versions, since it is in English.
Yes, they have a translation for the PSP port, but there are still a lot incomplete. I kind of wish that Namco would release an official localized release overseas, but that will only happen when pigs fly.
But yeah, learning the Japanese language and importing a PSP/PS3 copy is the best route to take since they are region free unlike the 360 port.
