After the intense dispute between Minko and Yuki for not having Omurice on the menu, there is finally a solution within Nako’s obsession of having one for lunch.
Surprisingly, Minko was never personally against of the idea of Omurice like implied in the intense argument with Yuki. She took it off the menu because the hot plate didn’t have enough heat to make it properly. Unlike the girls who wanted the dish on the menu out of emotions, Minko knew that it wouldn’t taste good since she is an expert at making Omurice. Moreover, she watched people make this dish at a restaurant when she was young. This has inspired her to become a cook at such a young age. She is so dedicated towards achieving her job that spends most of her money on ingredients in order to practice. In a sense, she is very special since many people can’t decide on their careers until they are in college or graduated.
Yet again, Ohana saves the day by suggesting a modified recipe with the rice. With Nako’s and Yuina’s suggestion of using a different rice mixture in place of the fried rice, they made recipe that tastes just as good. Minko tries this new recipe on the hotplate while the other people set up the room. It was successful after she attempted it several times. Still, I kind of felt bad for Ohana since she has to stuff all these plates of Omurice without throwing up. The other girls should have shared the burden and eat some of the failed Omurice. Either way, I commend her for lending her stomach for science!
With the whole Omurice ordeal finally over, I wished that Congress would do the same with the whole debt deal. Everything went well after all that drama and Yuki finally gets her wish of serving one to her crush. The thing that astonished me the most is Toorru’s decision of having Omurice. He probably wanted one for the very reason of having “Love” written on it and served by Ohana. Not to mention, he is still oblivious to Minko who is watching him eat while blushing quite heavily. This only makes things more interesting for the next episode as Ohana finally realizes that Tooru actually likes her, thus showing an existence of a love triangle. Then again, the preview might be trolling us yet again, so we have to wait until the next episode to see what actually happens between them.
Also, Minko looked adorable in her childhood, not that I’m interested or anything.
For all the uneeded drama over a simple egg and rice plate, this managed to land pretty solidly. Minko has gone from some insufferable bitch to a decent character.
Too bad she devolved in the next episode… kind of sad though since her voice is really annoying when she gets really angry.
