It’s the start of the new semester and Tooru still feels anxious of being alone. Also, another cat appears with some after school fun with her friends.
There is always a thing about Yutaka as she is so happy when it comes to anything, especially when it involves Tooru. While her personality is somewhat annoying at times, she is pretty funny. This is very apparent when she attempts to rescue another cute cat from the tree. The way she tries to get the cat down was downright creepy since it looked like she is going to grope the cat. To make matters worse, she almost fell from the tree, which got Tooru and Miho angry. Then again, she made it up when the cat licks her face, which makes her look adorable.
Like the other episodes, there is always a share of fun with the girls, mostly from Yuuko and Nagi. In one instance Yuuko aims to collect point cards for a prize is completely in disbelief when she sees some of the people throw them away. This is very similar to how many people throw away the promotional pieces for a sweepstake that some fast food restaurants like McDonald’s to promote a movie or other products because the lack of interest. Of course it doesn’t end there for her! She trips and falls on the floor, which reveals white-laced panties as the girls described. Since Yuuko looks so familiar to Mio from K-ON, I kind of expected a similar treatment to further humiliate her.
Noticeably in the episode is Nagi’s imitation of Run-chan. It was the cherry on top of the sundae since her impression was so good, despite being so embarrassing. Perhaps she should cosplay as her to fool everyone. Then again, she probably won’t be willing to do so as she isn’t that type of person.
As a whole, A Channel is an enjoyable and smoothing slice of life show. While Run and Yuuko give a familiar feeling of K-ON, the characters’ personalities were rather unique and charming that it adds to the overall comedy, most namely Yuuko. In addition to the comedy, the voice actresses have put effort in producing 11 insert songs for almost every episode that adds to the mood. Lastly, the ending was well done by ending it with Tooru having fun with her friends without any resolution. Besides from that, I have enjoyed the show a lot and hopefully in the future, we finally get to see more fun with Tooru and her friends in another season.
