If you remember a few cases ago, Coco Rose had a secret affair with Leviathan while he help the king make gold. This results in one of the most bizarre murder mysteries, popularized as a tragic fairy tale.
Compared to the previous cases, the murder of Coco Rose was interesting since it did not have a direct answer on who actually murdered her was concealed. The king knew that when he murdered his wife, the whole public would be outraged. So, he essentially had someone search for a girl, which resembles her and chosen Nicole, an actress. Her completely different and outgoing personality gave the public an illusion that she has suddenly changed despite having the same appearance of Coco Rose. 15 years later, the king disposed of her because someone close to the queen could expose the truth. The fact that the king used Nicole as a cover-up could explain why Albert wants Victorique to solve this vague mystery. Perhaps he wanted to get ammunition for a possible coup of the current king so he can basically take over Sauville and cause havoc.
However, there is something that Victorique kept a secret from him, which gives the case a twist. It seemed that Coco Rose has switched places with the maid, giving her the opportunity to escape with her newborn for safety. This fact was too convenient considering that Coco’s son and herself came on the same cart that Victorique and Kazuya was riding in. At least there was a happy ending to a very tense murder case.
Besides the cover-up, the case had another interesting aspect since there are so many doubles that look like Coco Rose. The doubles aspect had a subtle importance in saving Victorique from her father’s cruel ceremony. In Kazuya’s attempt to save her, there were two Brians. There was one who set off the big breeze and another kicking down the guards at the door. While he has caused some unexplained events like the incident at Beelzebub’s Skull, the fact that he has a twin just makes him more mysterious.
Since the case is finally over, we can finally look forward for some Christmas joy and people dressed in funny outfits. In short, we are going to have some fun!
The strangeness with Brian Roscoe was the most surprising to me. I don’t know what to make of that. Also, do they have opposite personalities? One says he loves Vickie, the other says he hates her. ?? Mystery
Yes, they appear to have opposite personalities and it’s vaguely noticeable in the previous episodes. When Kazuya fought Brian in the clock tower several episodes back, he seems to hate Victorique and fast forward a few episodes later, Brian was talking to her at Beelzebub’s Skull. I suppose they have opposite personalities, but it just makes the situation a bit confusing as we don’t know which one truly like Cordelia… Heck, they could be the same person, but the use of magic allow him to split his personalities in two bodies…
