Few months after the whole incident at Bezzlebub’s Skull, winter has finally come. Beneath the winter cheer is Cordelia’s unfortunate memory that changed her life forever.
It’s almost Christmas and a time for joy and laughter. Sadly, this is where things went south with a flashback of Albert’s evil plan to grasp another source of power from the Grey Wolves. Cordelia, when she was younger was an elegant woman and everyone seemed to adore her appearance. Sadly, that innocence was abruptly ended when Albert abducted her, raped her, pouring a glass of his blood on her womb and throwing her into a mental institution after giving birth. This was perhaps one of the most frightening acts ever witnessed. To make things worse, he piled fabricated lies on her to make his crime unnoticeable. Considering how well she went through this hell shows that she is strong, even with the fury inside of her when she came to visit her daughter several years later.
On the other hand, it seemed that she was going out with Brian in a relationship when they were younger. This may explain why he wants revenge on Albert while protecting her from any other harm. He basically used magic as a way of concealment and illusion to deceive and attack Albert’s stronghold. While Kazuya thinks that Brian is the bad guy who will take Victorique away, he will eventually come to his senses soon enough.
As for the rest of the developments in this episode, there is not much except another play tied to the incident from the past. While this arc will have some lighthearted moments, I feel that it will abruptly end with something serious in the near future.
