Since Kinji has officially became Aria’s partner in the mission to catch Riko, the alleged Butei Killer, trouble stirs when Shirayuki becomes jealous of Aria to the point of being axe crazy.
Then again, I kind of feel sorry for Shirayuki not because she is the prettier girl, but she is an unlucky childhood friend, which always got shafted most of the time. On the other hand, she is very obsessive of Kinji to epic proportions by the amount of text messages she sent and eventually finding out that the rumors of Aria is living with him was true. This results one of the funniest fight scenes where the girls try to kill each other, which instead results in a trashed appartment. To take it a step further, Shirayuki attempts to sabotage Aria by pulling tricks behind her back to make her back off. From her actions, there is no doubt that she is the most dangerous and hilarious yandere we ever seen in a love triangle relationship, especially when Aria becomes her bodyguard.
Beneath the comedy is the backstory of Shirayuki as a Miko with special powers referred to as “Choutei.” In her childhood, her parents were so overprotective of her that she was forbidden to leave the temple until Kinji sneaks her out during the night to watch the fireworks. While she was severely scalded for her actions, her relationship with him has grown a lot that she has become emotionally attached to him. Then again, I am sympathetic towards her considering that she is a “caged bird” that is never allowed to have contact with the outside world, until now.
Needless to say, Episode 6 was the most hilarious episode I have seen thus far mainly because of Shirayuki. She seemed so innocent, but not so much as she quickly learning some rather naughty stuff. In addition, Aria saying that she didn’t get pregnant was totally unexpected and outright hysterical. It just makes me wonder where she got her knowledge of romance. Otherwise, the girls’ fight to win Kinji is far from over and all I can say to him is good luck!
