No matter how much effort Ohana puts into her work, there is one thing about her that astonishes me. She is so independent that she refuses to cooperate with others, which causes silly mistakes.
The essence of work does not only account how much effort one puts in, but working with others. If a person doesn’t work together and diligently, mistakes are bound to happen. For instance, Ohana just dived into the cleaning without consulting with Nako. This resulted in the drafts being thrown in the trash. To me, both parties are to blame. Jiroumaru should have known that things could be taken or moved around if he doesn’t put them away. He could have prevented this by placing a “do not disturb” sign telling the staff not to go into the room. Instead of admitting that he is wrong, he gets so worked up that he takes it out on Ohana. Then again, I can’t blame her since her mother was a bad influence.
I felt that some of Ohana’s mistakes are caused by her mother’s bad advice. She is just so occupied with her writing that she breaks promises with Ohana. As an excuse and advice, she tells Ohana not to trust anyone. While the advice has some truth with some manipulative people, it will just hold Ohana back. Once a person enters high school, they have to work with their peers to achieve and prepare themselves for the real world. Any type of job these days requires teamwork and communication. This is the reason why her grandmother is so strict towards her granddaughter. She wants to prepare her for the real world and not become like her mother.
Once Ohana admits that she is wrong, how she is going to bring Minako and Nako back together? To accomplish this, she serves them their most hated food on the planet. They are specific types of vegetables the girls dislike such as Spinach and Taro. It might not taste good, but it will work and be beneficial to their health.
Like the last episode, I’m still enjoying Hanasaku Iroha a lot. Ohana is still cute despite her quirks and the silly mistakes she made like throwing the drafts in the wrong bin. After this incident is over, Jiroumaru should definitely get a laptop or an iPad so his drafts wouldn’t be tampered with and not ruin the environment with all the wasted paper he used.
Not to mention, Nako is cute as well… and Minako, she is so tsuntsun as always.
Loved this second episode things are starting to get better for Ohana at least she is trying to make friends somehow, and now the grandma doesn’t seem so bitchy anymore YAY!! However I don’t think that will last long 😛
That ending oh noes! RUN OHANA!! D:
I know, I was surprised by the ending. This show has a lot more drama than I expected. For some reason I thought it would be dreamy and slow-paced. I was not expecting a cliff-hanger.
The drama is probably one of the selling points considering the situation Ohana is thrown into. I expect there will be some more drama as she settles in…
Jiroumaru going after Ohana at the end of the episode was… surprising. Kind of disappointing that it ends just there, but oh well well.
Everything is taken with small steps and it will eventually resolve itself… As for Grandma, it will take awhile to break the habits her mother taught her.
