It seems that everyone wants a piece of Zakuro since she is different. Since her past is special, people are going after her with the Black Widow in charge to take her down.
Episode 8 – It’s a trap Zakuro!
It’s pretty unfortunate to see the two very familiar figures knock out Kei and Susukihotaru on their way to a shop. The kidnapping has some relation to the Black Widow’s desire to seek revenge on Zakuro after she defeated herself in Episode 5… Of course, her superior locks Zakuro up because she knows it’s a trap.
Luckily, the others let her out. After Zakuro was release, Riken and herself go to a house in the country to fight off the threat and save Kei and Susukihotaru from the cellar that is filling up with water. When the cloaked half-spirits (Byakuroku and Daidai) confronts Zakuro and Riken, Zakuro goes in rage mode and nearly defeats Byakuroku. Unfortunately, the Black Widow uses her magic so Byakuroku, Daidai and herself could escape.
What surprise me about Byakuroku and Daidai is that they are actually half-sprits just like Zakuro. It makes me wonder, why would they want to fight with their own kind? My assumption is that they have lived a rough life and they are jealous at Zakuro since she lives a nicer life compared to them. Since the Black Widow shares the same grudge against Zakuro, this explains why they joined forces with the Black Widow. What they don’t know is that the Black Widow had malicious plans to kill Byakuroku’s little sister. In a way, it’s like being stabbed in the back. I wonder how Byakuroku will feel if the Black Widow kills her little sister. She would most likely blame it on Zakuro or turn her back on the Black Widow…
Episode 9 – Singled Out: Meji Edition
Unlike the last episode, this episode takes a lighthearted turn to figure out which man Zakuro likes. Kokkori is going to find that out right? Damn straight since the twins keep asking whom Agemaki like. Kei obviously has a liking for Zakuro, but 100% tsuntsun Zakuro doesn’t think so… After all, Zakuro is deredere for Hanadate without having enough knowledge about him. Then again, the questions are so embarrassing for Zakuro that she lashes at Kokkori and in retaliation, attacks her and escapes.
What makes me feel sorry for Kei is when Hanadate blatantly tell a lie and say that he likes Zakuro. Zakuro admits his lie and Kei gets really upset. Love is something that shouldn’t be lied about since it gives a false impression about the person someone loves. It can break someone’s heart and make him or her so depressed that it’s not even funny. This is the part of Zakuro I don’t like. She is too indecisive. It’s so blatantly obvious that Zakuro adores Kei since she always look at him and how she is so kind after he saves her. I think it has more to do with her tsundere personality. She worries that Kokkori would reveal a different girl that Kei likes or something… Then again, Zakuro shouldn’t be so afraid about her feelings. She should really let her feelings of love out and admit that she likes Kei so she can stop living in a lie.
The biggest surprise is Hanadate’s double agent status. At the end of the episode, it reveals that he is working with the Black Widow. I knew that Hanadate was a villain from the start by the way he acted. Also in Episode 5, he walked with the Black Widow and had himself hang from the web in order to entice Zakuro to save him. It all makes sense now and of course, Hanadate is going to use Zakuro’s affections to betray her.
Do you think she’s realized her feelings for Agemaki? I feel like she doesn’t understand the feelings she has for him and that she’s confused by it. She might be too caught up in other stuff [Black Widow, her mother, precarious situations that may arise spontaneously] that she doesn’t have time to think about it.
It’d be nice for either one to confess to the other. >3<
You have a point besides her tsundere personality… I haven’t realized that there is many things going on with her life that she can’t really spend the time. I still think she will confess towards the end of the show… or maybe they are leaving it for the second season. If that is the case, so be it.
