Well, here is another fun filled episode of Tantei Opera Milky Holmes. Continuing from the last episode, they are downgraded from the rest of the classmates and gets a bit harsher from here… Cordella gets imprisoned for falsely admitting to stealing bread. Oh my!
It makes me wonder, why are they treating the girls so harshly? They are given a shack to eat. In addition, they are given only a potato to eat for their meals. It makes me wonder, how can a human being survive on one potato since it hardly has any nutritional value? In addition, they are given a shoddy desk to work on with mushrooms. They eventually cook the mushrooms, but never got the chance to eat them. Life must be tough for them since they are so long… but they will eventually cover come it.
In the end, a cat named Kamabako that Sherlock Shellingford finds eventually brings the team back together. It just blows my mind how this one cat brought them together without any effort! It’s like fighting with a friend and getting a cute pet dog to make a friend happy so they don’t stay mad forever. Unfortunately, the cat causes some trouble with Cordelia taking the blame to protect Kamabako. She ends up in a jail cell and its up to the rest of the crew to find the culprit, which was traced back to Kamabako. It was so obvious in the beginning, the cat loves to eat… so what?
In the end, Cordelia was released and they get to keep the cat…
Overall, I felt that the student council is being a bit too harsh on the girls. They should be treated humanely as being forced to eat with the other students and live in the dormitory like everyone else. It’s like forcing the girl to live in the attic and do the chores around the house in a worn out dress. After I looked at the preview, the harshness continues since the girls end up in a barred cage of some sort, but given better food to eat.
Nevertheless, the episode was fun even though there is not much of a story because of the girls; they are just so cute that I would feel guilty if I dropped the show. So yeah, I have to continue no matter what.
I think you are forgetting that the student council is actually Milky Holmes’ arch enemies and thus being mean to them is perfectly understandable.
Ahh… Yes, I kind of forgot about that.
Well, it is making fun of the moe genre, so something utterly ridiculous like a single cat bringing the girls back together makes more sense when you view it that way. Least for me.
In a way, most moe anime are sugary that conflicts like this rarely last that long… Unless it’s a melodrama.
Come to think of it, I never recall any of the girls in K-ON ever fight with each other. I guess they really need to keep the happy theme since this is a comedy after all.
