Over the course of last week, I kind of got caught up writing editorials, reviews and homework that I completely forgot about writing my thoughts about K-ON!! Episode 22 and Kaichou wa Maid-sama Episode 21. Since there isn’t really much to say about them, summing my thoughts in one post is enough to satisfy.
K-ON!! Episode 22
The episode honestly doesn’t feel any different from any of the other Valentines Day episodes. However, it was pretty nice to see Azusa to bake a chocolate cake for the whole light music club to have for dedication. Surprisingly, it turned out to taste pretty good, even though she was afraid of giving it to the girls since it is their last year together. I still wonder how Azusa would cope with this after Mio, Ritsu, Tsumugi and Yui finally graduate since she has a strong bond with each other.
In the last scene, it seems that the four girls finally got into the same college by the happy looks that Azusa has on her face. Since they got into the same college, it is only time until Graduation comes for them and they bid farewell to the school.
Kaichou wa Maid-sama Episode 21
Right before Kanou reveals that Misaki of nursing Usui back to health since he has suspicions that they are dating each other, another childhood friend finally enters the competition for Misaki’s love… Its Hinata, who has a huge crush on Misaki when he was a child was obese. Not only that, Misaki nurses him like she did with Usui. It makes me wonder, why would she ever go out with a guy that is a compulsive eater that is so obese. Beats me, but this rivalry does not look good for Usui who also likes Misaki. From the looks of it, this has to be the biggest and intense love triangle out there.
As for the rice balls, Misaki made them into hard, crunchy rice balls shaped like a baseball! I guess this continues her trend of her horrible cooking skills. Perhaps she should improve her cooking by having Usui having her learn proper cooking skills. Then again, its better to keep some of the flaws like these untouched.
