Nanoha had done a pretty good at being a magical girl since she already got 5 jewel seeds shortly after becoming one? The three Jewel Seeds since the second episode is giving me vibes of Kobato where Kobato’s bottle mysteriously filled up with konpeito within a few episodes!
Having magical or superhero powers come with great responsibility. If you take just one break, hell will eventually break lose. If that happens, you will end up with a bigger mess to clean up. This kinda reminded me of the Spiderman 2 movie when Peter Parker gives up being Spiderman. Guess what happen? Trouble. The trouble may not be at the scale of Spiderman, but in Nanoha, she had quite a mess to clean up since she decided to take a break just for one day!
The football match reminded me of the World Cup match with North Korea. They got their ass kicked so many times that it wasn’t funny. In contrast, Nanoha’s father manages a youth football team and participating in a tournament. They kicked the other teams ass 4 – 0. It’s almost the same exact scoring from the World Cup match against North Korea and Argentina.
Yunno may not be a normal ferret since she can talk and she is very intelligent. He is so cute, which is no wonder Nanoha friends pets the crap out of him until he becomes dizzy. Meanwhile, Nanoha completely forgets that once of the soccer players have one of the Jewel Seeds. After parting from her friends, she decides to take a rest instead of asking for the Jewel Seed from that boy…
What is this? We were shown a scene that have Nanoha changing into her bed clothes. Do you know how old she is? She is only nine years old! It wouldn’t be bad if she was sixteen years old, but this… I swear, I have no interest in lolicon or extremely young girls… it’s just wrong… but at the same time, I can’t stop laughing at Yuuno’s reaction when he sees Nanoha stripping like that. Therefore, I will let that slide.
The new wand actually works from a long distance and manages to take down the overgrowth and seal the Jewel Seed. It makes me wonder, why aren’t people freaking out since there are 5 big-ass trees growing in the whole town? If we had overgrowth like that in open areas, global warming would be solved for the most part.
In the end of the day, Nanoha manages to clean the big mess that she could have prevented if she didn’t took that nap! Maybe if she asked the boy about the strange Jewel and explained about it, the Jewel Seed wouldn’t have been activated. Then again, the boy would think that Nanoha is strange for talking about this and walk away. Also, it would defeat the whole purpose of a magical girl show. They suppose to fight against monsters and stuff.
In the end, this episode is rather enjoyable and I was amazed on how she manages to attack the overgrowth and capture the seed from several meters away. Not only that, Nanoha realized that being a magical girl comes with huge responsibilities and she can’t afford even a small break. Hopefully, Nanoha will eventually get used to her magical powers so that it won’t completely drain her energy.
Next episode seems to be interesting. Maids and Fate makes her first appearance. I wonder how this rivalry between Nanoha and Fate turn out in the end.

Corrected… along with referring Yunno as a girl instead of a boy… damn, the dub makes it seem that way… but oh well since I’m too lazy to read subs and there is a dub option.
