Well, things come full circle…
We finally learned what Okiura intentions on why he wanted to close the nursery. It’s because he loves Sayaka and wanted to protect her. However, the anime shows him as a complete asshole for the last 20 episode and he should of told her the truth instead of going through the burden. Kobato waits outside of the office at night and Okiura comes and Kobato asks if he loves Okiura and of course the truth comes out and Kobato collapses. She was put in bed and she finally woke up. Kobato convinces Sayaka to chase after Okiura and they hugged at the end.
Overall, this episode is a mix bag since it felt simply rushed. Okiura did not have enough character development and is viewed off as a bad guy from the get go when he is simply doing to to “protect” Sayaka. There is a problem with the story since all the anime showed him as a bad guy trying to harm Sayaka and then, BAM! We are known the truth on why he did what he did. On top of it, we never heard an apology from Okiura to Sayaka and Kobato got an Konpeito for that? Pretty messed up right?
Another problem this arc or perhaps the whole Anime series is what was his intentions to do this in deep detail and what did the president of the nursery did wrong (to the nursery or Sayaka) that would want to make Okiura to give the president unsecured loans to protect his lover? Better yet, how did Sayaka and Okiura met and become to love each other? I just felt that the story is incomplete, because the manga series is still ongoing. If I were on the top of the production team, I would fire the producer to produce such an unclear episode on this situation.
Back to the episode… In the end, it’s sad to see the nursery to be closed, but we are left with a rather heartwarming moment at the end. Perhaps after this is over, probably Sayaka and Okiura will build and open a new nursery as he suggested? Well, think about that… It wasn’t a complete train-wreck, but a big mixed bag and they could of done better. If the show had 12 episodes so that the manga will catch up and do another 12 to adapt the rest of the manga, it wouldn’t turn out so bad.
Again, this is the Anime ending, and I hope the Manga have a better ending to this situation than this mess and explain more…
Does this mean I’m dropping this? Hell no… since there is three more episodes left, but hopefully the ending for the Anime won’t turn out so bad… but still have the feeling that the Manga will do a better job at this since it’s not finished yet. One last thing… I really like Kobato’s new outfit… it seems that she has a unlimited wardrobe there…
