Well, this gets more interesting…
Well, the first part was funny… While Kanata took a break, the rest of the crew tried to do a deal with some guys with Kureha, Noel and Rio in a suit paired with fedoras and obviously, Felicia dressed as a classy lady. They done a diversion and faking the shooting scene paired with fireworks. They scared the two guys from the mob and found out their car was destroyed. Noami soon appears and finally makes a deal with those guys.
The second part is the story in Kanata’s point of view on the same day. At where Kanata was going to buy the dolphin with her pay check, but haven’t decided yet. She finds a little girl named Mishio who refuses Yumina to comb her hair. A boy came over saying she should let her comb her hair and she tries to slap him, but ends up slapping Yumina and running away. While Kanata is in the market place, she finds Mishio and she was looking for a box. Kanata offered to help her, but she ran away. Kanata finds Yumina and told what happen. Apparently, Mishio lost her parents and looking something that was precious to her. Kanata finds Mishio on a house roof and Mishio almost fell off the edge of the roof, but Kanata saves her and she started to cry.
Luckily, Kanata spotted the box that Mishio was looking for in Nanomi’s loot. At the church, the box reveals ties and Yumina puts them on for Mishio and ends with the heartwarming moment.
The episode shown happy and sad events. The first part was funny because of how they faked those two guys out… Second part was slightly more dramatic. It’s really sad for someone to lose their parents they love during childhood and it’s really hard to get over it, but something that a parent gave them will make them never forget them.
One of the funniest parts in the second part of the episode is Kanata’s view on Dolphins. As you know, Dolphins are very smart mammals and even help human beings. Not in Kanata’s view:
I would tell them that dolphins are very SCARY animals that will even eat humans!
I think this line cracked me up… :p
Overall, the series is not letting me down at all and it’s a really good slice of life anime. Good settings and story with both happy and sad moments… without the moe. I don’t understand why people keep calling this a moe show when there is hardly any moe at all. Are people that blind to tell apart what is clearly a “moe” show and what isn’t? There are some… but oh well, it’s their loss.
Mid-Season report on this series will be posted next… and so far, they have done a great job on this so far and it haven’t disappointed me. I’m still enjoying it after all this time, so I give them props for that.
And yes… Noel’s gun is BAD A**! Also, one thing I also noticed is that this scene does look a lot like Smooth Criminal.
Verdict
9.2/10
