This may be a filler or not as exciting as the other episodes, but it explores an important lesson, not about the potatoes, but something else.
A child running away from home because his grandfather is “bulling” him by turning off the TV and making him eat foods that are healthy, but doesn’t taste good… He does that for a very good reason… He cares…
Family and cultural values if you don’t realize is different in Asian countries compared to the western world and I should know myself. In my culture, you have to respect your elders, even if you don’t agree. Although grandparents make you go to bed early and eat your greens, they care about your health. They won’t let you eat fatty foods and unhealthy fast food which is the cause of childhood obesity… Like it or not, no child or teenager should run away from home…
The series itself seems to show alot of maturity besides from the happy go lucky fun it have shown in the earlier episodes… However, it makes me wonder…. when are we going back to manga source material… I may be thinking that since the manga is still ongoing and haven’t concluded yet… oh well… It was a good episode, despite what everyone else say…
And wait? Round pears? Well yeah, they are called Asian Pears because they are round, duh…
