After finishing the first volume of Hayate no Gotoku (7 episodes), when I got to the 8th episode… I couldn’t believe what I have seen. This particular episode is named “Going to Hell in Cat-Ear Mode” or “neko mimi moodo de jigoku iki”. and guess what we see… Hayate in a cat girl outfit… It’s says what exactly on the tin!
This starts when Nagi decides to dress Hayate in a school uniform or “sailor fuku” (see picture above). Moe levels explode when Hayate started to cry, although Nagi is enjoying it since he looks good in it. You can hardly tell if he is a boy or a girl because of how he looks. Maria joins in the fun, even though it’s not his taste and dresses him in a cat-girl outfit.
Yep… the moe gets out of control now… and Tama tries to make love with Hayate and him needing to attack Tama to defend himself.
and wait… Klaus also falls under the spell… thinking that Hayate is a girl. Fortunately, Maria saves him by socking him with an extendable punching glove.
After Hayate recovered from his injuries, he goes to the pool room and sees that Maria was there. He learns from Maria how Nagi and Isumi became best friends. Afterwards, Maria decides to have a pool match and if Hayate looses, his debt will go to 200 million yen. Hayate wins and thinks about something for Maria to do… This is when Nagi goes Tsundere on him…
At the end of Episode 8… we get more Trap Hayate again…
Well this episode has to be the funniest so far… but I think it gets even more so when it goes on. So much trap Hayate that it could relate to Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru where you get trap Mizuho instead. I bet that Nagi and Maria have a kick out of this when they force Hayate to wear girls clothing… I wonder how am I going to survive after seeing this… :p
Verdict
