As usual, the Yuuto and Haruka relationship is so sweet that it tastes like diabetes… at the same time, Diomedea seems to love shoving fanservice in our face after they had a field day with the last episode… and distracted the tone in this episode… but still good if you ignore all the fanservice crap that is going around…
Synopsis
After Yuuto worked hard to make up the money to buy a present for Haruka, there is a Christmas party at Yuuto’s house while his sister and Yukari is at a drinking party. The way Mika was acting and the way they dressed caused her father to get upset and eventually getting his sword out, but Alice hits him and causes him to stop. Haruka’s mother and father went home and they continued with the party and Yuuto suddenly collapse onto the floor. He was nursed back to health by one of the maids and was caused by Yuuto overworking himself. Haruka stayed behind to look after him. Following Mika’s nursing guide, she started doing things that made Yuuto uncomfortable and started to do weird things. Mika then calls him warning him not to do anything weird. Hearing that, her father started to get angry again, but subdued by his wife. Then, Haruka tells him her childhood story that Santa wasn’t real, but what’s more important is Hazuki dressed up as santa gave her the present which was more important than Santa giving her the present. Then, they exchanged gifts and looked out the window and the bushes were lighted with the help of Haruka to give the feeling of Christmas and it started to snow. They looked at the night sky with Yuuto’s hand on Haruka’s shoulder.
Thoughts
The Yuuto-Haruka relationship is so sweet and overall the episode was pretty funny… However, I got distracted by all the fanservice thats going on that it gets rather distracting, after having a field day with the fanservice of Touka in the last episode, I thought they would had enough… but no…. I’m watching Nogizaka Haruka, NOT FREAKING QUEENS BLADE which is a shitty, fanservice, softcore porn show… which I hate so much… I would rather Diomedea cut down the fanservice a little bit since it’s a bit old and losing what hope I can see to fix the shortcomings of the first season… I feel that Purity means that you should supercharge it with more type 2 fanservice and ecchi… but I never remembered the first season having so much ecchi before in my entire life… Diomedea should know better than adding a shitload of fanservice and expect ratings to go higher… but in reality, it doesn’t most of the time.
Besides from that, Yuuto and Haruka seems to make a good couple… but it seems that Shiina will have a uphill battle in trying to win Yuuto’s heart for now on.

I agree, Yuuto+Haruka > fanservice. I also agree that there appears to be even more fanservice in this season than the first one (the fanservice is more gratuitous too). I really hope Diomedea gives us at least a few good episodes with minimal fanservice.

Yes, the nip*** are the most disturbing part of the episode, but it can’t possibly be any worse than Queen’s Blade, since Queen’s Blade atleast to my knowledge have the highest amount of fanservice which most anime won’t even reach in a life time…
Diomedea… Get a hold of yourself… man with the fanservice and we might get some decent episodes… so far, I think the second episode is the only episode that had the lowest amount of fanservice except the Shiina getting molested in the end.
