Evaluation
K-ON! for most people is very enjoyable and is a vast improvement over the last 4Koma adaptation, Lucky Star from 2 years ago. K-ON! did not make the the missteps like it did in the first few episodes of Lucky Star and have better animation and still contains a balance of good comedy and plot development. It may not appeal to a few who don’t like moe-blob anime, but disregarding all the moe stuff, it’s still a good show.
Character Development
The characters in K-ON! are well developed, although Kyoani might gone a bit overboard over Mio’s shyness which can annoy some. However, the characters have a faint similarity to Lucky Star, but they are just as enjoyable… Also, Yui’s airhead behavior is probably not that noticeable after episode 4.
What about the flaws?
Although K-ON! is a good show and sorta lives up to the hype, there are some flaws in the anime. Like I have mentioned earlier, the animation is good, but not on the level like other series Kyoto Animation produced (Haruhi, Kanon, Air, FMP, etc.) Also, some people may be annoyed with the same old Mio shyness again… but otherwise, I can’t find any other flaws at this moment in time.
and also…
