“Acting cute won’t solve anything!”
Sawako makes a debut… but have a strange past which the light music club members discovered and….
Synopsis
Preparing for the festival, Yui and Ritsu looks in the album of the previous Light Music Club and discovers a familar person in the album.
While practicing, Yui got a cut on her finger and shows it to Mio, but she got scared and Ritsu tries to comfort her. Then, Sawako comes into the room asking to borrow stands. Yui and Sawako goes to her office to bandage Yui’s finger and she tells Yui that it’s not hard enough and she should keep practicing. Then, Mugi peeks in while they were talking. Then she calls out for Mugi.
After Yui left, she walks with Mugi and asks what’s wrong, and Mugi said that Sawako was pretty. Then, Mugi tells Yui that she handed the request form to reserve the stage for the festival, but unable since the Light Music Club wasn’t recognized as a official club. When they got back to the music room, Ritsu became furious and decide to go to the Student Council.
Then, they go to the Student Council, which Nodoka seems to be a part of. Then, she revealed that they never handed the application in and Ritsu was susposed to do it, but got distracted and forgot about it. Then Mio grabs Ritsu’s cheeks and pulls on them as she found out it was her fault. Then, Nodoka redoes the application, but they don’t know the advisor. Then, they go to Sawako to ask her to become the advisor, but she had another club to advise and can’t advise two. Then, they begged her to sign the form… and then Yui reveals that she look at an album of the old light music club… and Sawako hearing this runs to the Music Club to take back the album.
When she got there, the picture of her was missing from the album, and then the light club members arrive at the club room and Ritsu shows the missing picture in the album. When Sawako sees the picture, she admits that she was part of the light music club before. Then, Yui plays the tape of the previous light music club and Sawako became embarrassed by it and Mio shivering in the corner. Then, Yui hands her guitar, and soon after she showed her technique and also scolded them… and they apologized.
Then, Sawako tells them about what happened eight years ago when she tried to confess with a boy, but failed because he only like more wild girls. Then, Sawako decides to become the girl he wants, but she went overboard in the end… and ended up being rejected yet again.
After Sawako tells her story, Ritsu tries to cheer her up and tells her that she won’t leak her secret if she becomes the advisor. With awe, Mugi-chan stares at Sawako. Then Mio and Yui asks what’s wrong, but Mugi didn’t answer.
In preparation of the festival, they show what they going to play, but the only problem is that there are no vocals. Mio at night wrote the lyrics for the song. The next day, Mio have the lyrics done, but don’t want to show it to them… which made Sawako annoyed and took them. Then, Yui and Mugi becomes amazed by the lyrics while Ritsu disapproving of them. Sawako then thought about it, and decides to use them because it would boost her image. Then, Yui have intensive training to play the guitar while singing, but she can’t sing well while playing. Then, they finally decide that Mio will do the vocals and she passes out after hearing that decision.
Reaction
The episode is pretty awesome… considering about Sawako’s past… which is extremely WILD!!!
Since the light music club now has a awesome and pretty advisor, Yui goes for intensive training, but can’t sing oddly and both makes the Peko-chan face… which is a pretty popular symbol… which is also done by Sunohara in Clannad.
Overall, I thought the episode was done pretty well… I give it a 9/10.
