At last, Kyoto Animation finally tries something different by focusing on former male swim club members with girly names.

With the spring season coming to an end in a few weeks, it’s time to take a look at some shows I will be watching for the summer season. (Image Source)
…
Suisei no Gargantia – Episode 1 – Lost on Earth
I lost count on how many people died in this episode alone…
…
Photo Kano – Episode 1 – Ichiya’s New Hobby
This show cannot possibly be that classy.
…
Red Data Girl – Episode 1 – I just want to be normal!
No matter how much you look at this, this show is pretty mysterious.

Spring 2013 Anime Season Preview
Since the Winter Anime season is coming to an end, it’s about time to share what I will be watching for the spring. As always, its subject to change. (Image Source)

Genkai Totsuki Monster Monpiece – First Impressions – A Cute and Fanservicy Monster Girl Trading Card Game
For a while now, there has been a good amount of criticism surrounding Idea Factory/Compile Heart games. They have a bad reputation of having overly complicated gameplay, needless grinding among other things. While the first Neptunia game had a lot of bugs, at least I heard that they improved the gameplay in the sequels. Now with the Playstation Vita, I think they kind of learned their lesson with Genkai Totsuki Monster Monpiece (限界凸騎モンスターモンピース, lit: Unlikely Knight: Monster Monpiece), which sold over 50,000 in retail and download. With that, I would like to share some experiences of playing it after getting through the first Chapter and a part of the next one. (Image Source)

Thoughts about Tales of Series and Tales of Hearts Demo
In the past, I have played various Japanese RPGs such as Final Fantasy and Pokémon (excluding the Atelier games I played recently). Of course, there is one other RPG series that is popular with the Anime fandom and it’s the Tales of Series. (Image Source)

Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai NEXT – Episodes 1 and 2 – Brief Thoughts
Since I completed the first season, how does the sequel plays out? Well, rather well.

Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai – First Impressions (Episodes 1 and 2)
I’m a year late to the party, but I’m not going to miss out on this for any longer.
And yes, I was on vacation during the past two days. This can explain the inactivity because wireless Internet wasn’t free. Since I am back, its time to catch up.
…
Tamako Market – Episode 1 – A Strange White Talking Bird Appears!
Based on its cover, this show is about sweets, a mochi shop and a plump white talking bird.

Idolmaster Puchimas – First Brief Impressions
I bet most people were expecting a second season of Idolmaster. Instead, we got this… (Image Source)

Winter 2013 Season Preview Thoughts
Since I got so many games for Christmas and played with them for so many hours that I totally forgot to write a Winter Preview. So, it wouldn’t hurt to share what I plan to watch a few days late.
As always, I start with a few shows before tacking on additional ones.

Atelier Meruru – First Impressions – Iyashikei of Item Crafting
In the past, I have written some initial impressions or full reviews of video games from Japan. Of course, most of what I covered is ones related to Anime such as the Idolmaster games and Pokémon. Now I’m going to do something slightly different and share my thoughts about a pretty obscure game called Atelier Meruru. (Image Source)

iDOLM@STER Shiny Festa – First Impressions
As The iDOLM@STER franchise becomes more popular, especially after the anime that aired last year, Namco feels the need to make a new game. That game is iDOLM@STER Shiny Festa, which focuses more on the rhythm aspect rather than the managing from the main games. Like the first PSP games, each edition contains different idols and exclusive songs (at least 6 songs are included in all the games). (Image Source)

Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A’s – Episode 1 – Mysterious Red Hair Girl Appears
Since I’m not watching much this season, I decided to watch some older stuff and finish the backlog. With that, I have decided to start the second season of Nanoha.
…
Little Busters – Episode 1 – Baseball, Recruitment and School Food Fights
At last, the most anticipated visual novel adaptation, Little Busters has finally landed, but does it meet expectations? Well, it sort of.

Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai – Episode 1 – The Dark and Embarrassing Secrets of Togashi Yuuta
Since summer is finally over, it’s time to focus on the first show I’m watching this fall. Just like Hyouka, it seems that Kyoto Animation was busy working on another project that got announced last year. This show is Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai (中二病でも恋がしたい, lit: I have Middle School Second Year Disease, but I Want to Love!). It has a male lead and this weird girl with an eye-patch. Seems interesting enough until I actually watched the first episode. After that, my mind simply got blown away.

Fall 2012 Anime Season Preview and Plans
As the summer season comes to a close in a few weeks, it’s time to start planning for the fall. What I intend to do is to give a list of shows I plan to watch and some updates on what is going on (and its subject to change). (Image Source)
…
Kokoro Connect – Episode 1 – I’m in a Girl’s Body?! That’s Impossible!
Since Dog Days 2 Episode 3 isn’t coming out anytime soon, I want to focus on a show that has been talked about quite a lot in the blogosphere. That show is Kokoro Connect.
…
Dog Days 2 – Episode 1 – The Grand Return
Last summer, I watched the whole first season of Dog Days while on vacation in two days. Although the story was average, it’s still a fun experience as the characters had enjoyable personalities along with the idea of a friendly war. Despite the mundane ending, it was fun and had charm. With the second season, I expect things to become more exciting as Shinku brings his childhood friend, Becky with Shinku’s cousin, Nanami to that fantasy world.

Tari Tari – Episode 1 – When your Vice Principal Doesn’t Let you Sing, Start your Own Club!
It’s finally summer, thus we begin the anime of this season. First to air is of course Tari Tari. If you know some Japanese, “たり…たりする” usually lists activities. In English, it will translate out to be “do such things as x and y.”
As you will expect, this show is about two male characters, three girls and music. It sounds familiar, but I haven’t even shared my thoughts about the episode yet!

Summer 2012 Anime Season Preview and Plans
Since the spring anime will come to an end pretty soon, I may as well take the time and show what I have planned for the summer. As you would expect, I won’t watch much since I usually use this time to catch up on my backlog. Additionally, I’ll share what I have in store for the next two months. (Image Source)
