True Tears – Episode 1 & 2 (First Impressions)
For a while now, I wanted to watch True Tears, PA Works’s first production before they produced other anime such as Canaan, Angel Beats and the now airing Hanasaku Iroha. While the latter having a few similarities since Mari Okada worked on both series, the focus is primarily on the love triangle that slowly develops with Shinichiro and the two girls, Hiromi and Noe.

Best of Spring 2011 Anime Music
During the Fall 2010 Anime Season, I have taken a brief look of some the opening and ending songs I heard from the shows I were watching. Since I only covered a few shows last winter like Madoka Magica, Hourou Musuko and Fractale (Gosick is left out since the ending theme single came out in the spring), I decided not to focus on it. However, I have published a full review on Madoka Magica’s opening song, “Connect” at Anime Instrumentality and you should check it out!
For the Spring 2011 Season, there was a good number of opening and ending songs I liked. Out of the songs that released and listened to during spring, I liked “secret base ~kimi ga kureta mono~” (Ai Kayano, Haruka Tomatsu, Saori Hayami), “Scarlet Knight” (Nana Mizuki), “Hazy” (sphere), “Scarlet Ballet” (May’n), and “Spread Wings” (Aki Misato). For each song, I will share my thoughts about them briefly. (Image Source)

Ano Hana – Brief First Impressions (Episodes 1 & 2)
This year, there doesn’t seem to be any shortage of anime filled with drama and tear-jerking moments. Madoka Magica, Hourou Musuko and to a certain extent Hanasaku Iroha have shown us some of the most dramatic scenes thus far. However, Ano Hi Mita Hana No Namae O Bokutachi Wa Mada Shiranai, which perhaps holds the longest title in anime history takes it to an entirely different level with a childhood friend tragedy. Aria the Animation – Episodes 1 and 2 – First Impressions
Many have suggested me to watch this show ever since I have watched K-ON!!. That series was Aria, a scientific fiction slice of life, which had some similarities to the mentioned title minus the excess moe. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the first two episodes with its nice animation, music and a interesting story. Therefore, I have to share my thoughts about Aria the Animation, the first season of the series. Twelve Moments in Anime 2010 – #7 – Ookami-san and the cute Tsundere Wolf
In the 7th Anime Moment for this year, I will be focusing on Ookami-san. While I have some mixed feelings about the show, it was rather entertaining since it had a really violent tsundere named Ookami Ryoko. While not too different from other tsundere stories that JC Staff makes, it has fairy tale characters as its cast, which made it pretty interesting. (Image Source)

Guest Review – Otome Youkai Zakuro – MOON SIGNAL OP Review
As you might know already… I loved “MOON SIGNAL,” which is one of the best openings in the Fall 2010 Anime Season. This review only took a few hours to write since there wasn’t that much to nick picking compared to the previous singles such as MM! OP review and K-ON! 2 Yui Character Single. While “MOON SIGNAL” remains the best song out of sphere, “Now Loading… SKY!!” remains my second favorite. Also, the B-side in “Now Loading… SKY!!” is a bit better than “Climax Whistle.” So enjoy the review of “MOON SIGNAL” and be sure to share your thoughts about the single at the Anime Instrumentality Blog.

Otome Youkai Zakuro – Episodes 6-7 – Belated Impressions
I got caught up with several things in my life that I forgot about Zakuro. Well, a lot have happened in these two episodes regarding how the twin’s grew up, Zakuro’s mother and the spirit at Kei’s home that resulted in his fear of spirits. Some of them are petty tragic and others… really cute.
