With Margarete finally defrosted, you might wonder if Liella made the first cut. Also, Kinako gets a focus as Ren looks for a successor for student council president.
I have to admit that Liella is feeling suspenseful about the results. As expected and unsurprisingly, Liella made it to the next round. It’s not too surprising or otherwise. The anime would have ended here. That said, for regionals, Kanon wants Kinako to write the lyrics for the next song. Mei and Natsumi wish to listen to Kinako’s lyrics, and of course, Kanon sees Kinako as the person to pass the torch to.
As expected, Kinako struggles to develop lyrics for the next song. Yep, she sulks that she can’t come up with anything. I guess the pressure of creating a good song for regionals can give a win for Liella. While sulking and walking in the hallway, she overheard a second-year student having a sense of urgency. It’s because Ren hasn’t chosen a successor yet. She asks everyone if they are interested.
Kinako decides to help her out, but of course, they receive no applications. More on that later as Ren takes Kinako to her home. She gives more suggestions on how Kinako can convey her feelings, but she has difficulty coming up with anything and coming to a conclusion. Ren tells her to take her time, but she realizes how much Kinako and Ren are alike. It’s nice of Ren’s maid to bring out a huge strawberry parfait for Ren and Kinako to share.
With Ren not receiving a single application, she gets a suggestion to nominate someone. She eventually asks Kinako. Kinako saw the notes on a bookmark while continuing to struggle. Eventually, she had the urge to draw as she sang. That is until Ren heard part of the song. That is until Ren saw what Kinako was doing. Kinako apologizes to Ren and asks her to become student council president.
As expected, Kinako says she can’t do it. It’s not surprising, given how introverted she is, despite Ren seeming to like the songs that come out of her. Ren knows that Kinako is a hard worker and wants her to put more faith in herself.
As expected, she can’t picture herself as one as she yells, catching Margarete’s attention. Kinako wants Margarete to be a student council resident, but it won’t happen as she wants to attend school in Vienna. Instead, Margarete knows the best person to do it is Kinako, and in a way, like Ren, Kinako should put more faith in herself.
Meanwhile, Kanon waited for Chisato at the Takoyaki stand. It is her last day of work. While it’s sad to talk about everyone’s plans, Chisato hasn’t yet. Either way, she will eventually decide after the finals, but their focus is to work hard to get there.
Eventually, Kinako ran to Ren’s house as she decided to become student council president. While she has a lot of weaknesses, she was able to write the song since everyone worked hard to teach her to smile and have courage. With Liella, she has her friends to support her no matter what happens. With that, she could give the speech as she became student council president. As expected, the song that Kinako wrote the lyrics for is excellent, and of course, they made it to the finals. With that, will Liella pull off a successive win? We have to wait and see next time.
